I am by no means trying to justify GJ pilots at all, but let's look (superficially) at why people dislike GJ:
1) Taking airplanes at lower pay rates
2) Undercutting "the cause" by having a second carrier owned by the same parent company fighting the other
3) One company furloughing while the other hires
Now, and again, I'm not defending anyone, will someone explain to me how it's different than what any of the regionals are doing to mainline? Specifically, Mesaba/Pinnacle and NWA, Eagle and AA, Expressjet and COA? My understanding is that these companies all have the same parent company...
Don't want to hear flaming, just curious as to how it's different.
