Sounds like we are a little sensitive that we are still at Comair after all of these years,and also who are you ...the Pilot Contract Police for the entire industry? BTW- NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A THOUGHT....KEEP IT TO YOURSELF...
That is all i have to say about this subject, of which i'm sure you will continue to complain about until you are happy which will probably be never.

Although I seriously doubt it will change the tone of this thread, here's a cut and paste from RAH's pilot contract:

R. Commuter Policy
1. A pilot must list on at least two (2) flights with available seats, no
more than forty-eight (48) hours in advance, on line, on code
sharing partners, or off line with acceptable documentation, all of
which would position the pilot in time for his assignment.
2. If a pilot has performed paragraph R.1. above and through no fault
of the pilot, does not arrive in time for his trip pairing and notifies
the Company as soon as practicable, then the Company will take
no disciplinary action against the pilot, subject to paragraph R.5
below.
3. The pilot shall report in his domicile as soon as possible and shall
be subject to reassignment or reserve duty for the remainder of the
trip pairing for that day. The Company will attempt to place the pilot
back on his original trip as soon as practicable as long as the trip
has not been awarded to a pilot on his day off. If assigned to
another trip, such trip must be scheduled for completion no more
than two (2) hours later than the original trip hour period, unless the
pilot agrees to a later schedule completion.
4. The pilot’s guarantee will be reduced by the amount of flight time of
the missed trips. From the point that the pilot was able to fly the trip
pairing, the pilot shall be paid the greater of actual flight time or his
scheduled flight time.
5. A pilot may use the commuter policy protection no more than two
(2) times in any six (6) month period.

If you were so concerned about lowering the bar, you wouldn't have had to hide behind the flight attendants' skirts while they voted no to concessions and stood up for themselves. Don't bother with the ole' "we had to do it because you whores lowered the bar and fly for less" routine. It's a weak excuse. Typical CMR attitude though. When YOU fly for less, it's ok because it's for survival. When anyone else is stuck flying for less due to certain circumstances (Republic, Freedom), they're whores.

So keep calling everyone who doesn't wear yellow stripes "whores". Do you and fly2scuba ride around in hotel vans together on your days off just to give us dirty looks? I hope I'm never on the same van. I don't know if I could handle the emotional rollercoaster.

That is almost as bad as agreeing to fly at walmart wages so you can "get some of Comairs flying". That was what the chicdawa pilots were told at their road shows.
I know a few of you guys, and it is a fact that you did this.

So if Bedford came to us with threats of lost flying and pushed us to sign a concessionary contract worse than Mesas', it would be ok then, right?

Really what you're saying is you want someone else to "raise the bar". You don't want to do it because it may jeopardize your job. So instead you call everybody a whore out of the side of your mouth while you're signing a concessionary contract that puts you out on the same street corner as the rest of us. The fact is, agreeing on concessions is your deal and your decision to make. You gotta do what you gotta do. But your pilot groups double standard and excuses make you sound like arrogant elitists who refuse to face reality. Fact is, you had a chance to stand firm to management, you caved. When that happened, you gave up any right to call anyone else a whore.

In court testimony, when DAL was explaining their need to outsource 79 seat jets, their sworn testimony was that CMR pilot costs to fly those jets would be half of DAL pilot costs. Hmmmmm. Pot meet kettle.

why not, you could then have all the flying. Your whole life is concessionary, why stop now.You have never once tried to get an industry leading contract.

The harder you take it the more of comairs, asa's, express jets a/c you can have parked. That means more upgrades, more dci academy guys. Life sounds great. All that and a third world pay check to go with your third world jet.

I "see" this thread has turned into a book and i "hear" myself laughing while i am reading it, so when i go for my medical the doc is pleased that i can "see "and "hear" things just fine ,also there is a thing called books on tape.
