We have been asking for more bases for years

They added 2 new bases under Bombardier, DEN and ORD.

It was under Bombardier's OWNERSHIP...yes, however every pilot at Flexjet knows that wasn't dictated by Bombardier but one certain individual who was our last D.O. Bombardier did not care where the pilot's lived as long as trips were covered. That's the real reason!

Flex pilots votes for or against this new schedule/crew base means nothing. If all of you voted no it would still happen.
What are the details? What happens if an airline cuts flights and you just moved? Can they make you drive to others airports? They can make us...but there are limits in distance and time. How much notice do you get if they decide to remove your new domicile from the list? What parameters must the new domicile maintain to remain a domicile is it based on number of flights and cost?

Lots of questions you guys don't have answer to. We do...it's written in our CBA. Just something to think about.

You guys want us to fail so bad.

We do not. We want you to see that you have more options than being a at will employee. We want you to see that you currently no say in your future. All you have is a illusion of choice.

So why do you think we want you to fail? Would you not want answers to my above questions before you move to a new city?

We have seen how KR operates for years. You have worked for him for 5mins.

Learn from our experience or ignore it. Free country.

You cant be this dumb! Why the hell would we want you to fail?

I don't think you guys want us to fail. You just want us to mistrust KR so we join your union. You will say anything to give us doubt.

Once again WHY would FJ add these bases when they are under no obligation to do so and then use it to screw us. Doesn't really pass the BS test.

Have they announced to your pilot group how many FO pilots are jumping ship to the Global? Guess what, they aren't management pilots, these are line pilots that trust KR enough to step our from under the CBA to advance their careers.

If KR treated you guys they way you portray I wouldn't think a single line pilot at FO would dare fly the Global no matter what the pay. C'mon, you know he is just going to take that pay and any nice parts of the job away in a Friday email, right. That's how it always goes, right?

So if your guys that are going to the Global have experienced the same working conditions under KR as you have, then you tell me why they trust him? Why would they give up the IBT protection? It sounds like suicide, or maybe you guys are just full of BS.

Since you're making crap up, you forgot to add the scenario where my domicile gets nuked.

You don't know the answers or even the right questions, just let it go.

Have you seen the proposal?

The proposal states that they can add additional bases. The future, but bases cannot be taken away unless it is voted for. Your CBA allows the company to close bases based on criteria listed. Per the new base plan they can't close the new bases, even if all airlines stopped serving it unless we vote for that to happen.

Yes there are other airports at some of the bases you are responsible for. This is just like our bases we have now, no change.

Once again, educate yourself before you get on here and sound ignorant.

Former Management now Union Members

Have they announced to your pilot group how many FO pilots are jumping ship to the Global? Guess what, they aren't management pilots, these are line pilots that trust KR enough to step our from under the CBA to advance their careers.

Two of the initial Global pilots were Flight Options Management. One was Chief Pilot and the other Director of Flight Administration. The third was the former Director of Operations that became a IBT Local 1108 member.

So, they were management.

So, they haven't experienced the conditions discussed under KR. They created and enforced those conditions.

They were management. So, they were not covered by the CBA. Well the former DO eventually was.

Now, the best part. The Chief Pilot wanted to protect his seniority number at Flight Options. How did he do that? He is now a proud member of IBT Local 1108!

So, TWA - How about that?

I am not talking about the initial group. I am talking about the second group.

They start training July 21.

How about that.

Are you seriously saying in Public that if a new domicile lost ALL airline service that they would not shut it down as a base?

Your serious?

Please tell me you have been drinking tonight....

Lucky

Are you upset that I asked logical questions or that you didn't?
You either don't want to know the answer or too scared to ask.

Drinking, no....thanks.

We would have to vote out a new domicile if we vote the new system in. They can only add domiciles without a vote.

If your look at our new domiciles I can't imagine any of them losing all airline service. Our management team is not dumb. They wouldnt add a place that has the chance of losing all airline service.

I hope you Flex pilots enjoy getting treated as pilots of ... how did he say it in the Basing-Schedule change policy announcement... " a premier workplace". If KR was such a generous guy and a great employer, why doesn't he make a bunch of wonderful changes at FO? They could easily be added to our CBA with an LOA. You can talk all you want about how good you think you have it, and that is great for you. I am genuinely happy for you all, and we would all like to feel that way about our employer too! (Ironic that it's the same group, isn't it?) You all seem to think that we think the IBT 1108 is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the reality is much simpler. We now simply realize the benefits of union representation after a long history of being "at will" under KR. One group in this discussion has lived both sides, one has not. It isn't your fault that you haven't experienced both sides, in fact it is your good fortune. However, you would be a fool to not at least listen to the voice of experience with an open mind.... or alternatively you can go imitate an ostrich and bury your heads in the sand. It's your choice. Enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

You are just broken sir.

You're aligning the mgmt of the company with a mass murdering dictator.

This is the test case for 'The Agreement' and you guys are saying it's a farce and then speculating what will happen IF conditions at the new gateway change. It's pathetic.

You work for a different company, let us make our own mistakes.

The question about why this is even taking place now is the mystery. Rumor is that Flex received more than enough resumes and applications under the limited gateway system to be selective and still fulfill it's hiring. So why would they spend the time, energy, and money to address a pilot concern that barely made the top 5 of issues on the survey?

Once you have a CBA nothing is ever given unless there is something given in return. Would you be wiling to just give up part of the protections of your CBA without getting something in return.

Before the DAC purchase we had no say about changes to our work rules. No with out employment agreements we get to vote before changes can be made. This is a huge improvement and in return we gave nothing.

When the acquisition was announced people at our company were worried that our working conditions would quickly mirror yours and didn't want that. The employment agreement was put together to show that DAC and FJ have no intention of taking away things that have been here at FJ for a long time.

So far the only negative thing that I can think of is our sick days went from 10 to 7, but before we were jot able to roll them over to next year or use them as additional vacation blocks. For the people that made sure they used all 10 sick days every year ths was a loss. For the rest of us that only used them when we were truly sick this was a gain.

So with the DAC purchase we have been given a say in iur future work rules which we didn't have under Bombardier. Something they really didn't have to do. Once again, remind me when the Friday emails will start coming out changing things.

The new basing proposal isn't perfect, however I fully expected them to require moving to a fixed 8/7 or something if you moved to a secondary base. I even thought it was possible they would ask ALL of us to move to a fixed schedule in order to open it up. I'll have to see how it plays out as far as getting the min 4 off after 7 or 8 on before I pack up and move but I voted yes for those that want to change now and avoid the drives.

You voted on new bases. That's it..not the details of the work rules associated with them. You keep preaching how your vote counts. It's doesn't. Like I said all of the Flex pilots could have voted NO and these changes wold be put into place anyway. You voted yes to this not even knowing all of the details. Did you even read it? To make up for the increase in travel cost more new and exciting schedule changes are coming and your empty votes won't stop it. But you will be told you have a voice and your opinions really matter. This is just the start.

I read it all before I voted.

Tell me how this would happen without our vote.
