But why we should comply with that portion of the Transition Agreement while the AAA MEC seems to cherry pick only the parts that work best for them while ignoring the rest is beyond me...

PHXFLYR:cool:

Well, have you found out which parts of the Transition Agreement the AAA MEC ignored? Good try on the 50/50 thing. I'm sure you actually looked at the TA now and realized it was just wishful thinking...

I think it's high time we stop being so spineless and demand a staple ala TWA/American. Very similar situation. TWA had no career expectations and AAA had no career expectations. I bet one could argue TWA was in better shape financially than AAA.

TWA posted losses for over 10 years straight. Thats over 40 quarters of multi-million dollars losses. TWA also merger with a non-ALPA carrier. Neither one of these was true about AAA.

True, but AWA didn't buy us. We were bought as was AWA. So someone bought BOTH of us and combined us because we BOTH had value in this merger. If AAA had no value, why do it? Why not just take all the money and invest it in AWA alone?

Yeah well my schlong is bigger than your schlong!!

It is a merger, they are never pretty! Just ask the old AAA guys, they have done this Five times.....this is just another merger to them, nothing personal.

Getting too upset about it will only give you gas!!

Quoting the Arbitrator from page 14 mid paragraph
" ... the AWA pilot group overreaches when it demands a one-half share .."

Sounds like you pushed it as hard as you could.

Question...

What happenes with the "growth" AWA does end up getting. I understand they will upgrade guys and more seats will be created but where will the new people come from? AAA or off the street?

No newhires at AWA or USA until all furloughees have been offered recall. This is stipulated in the Transition Agreement.

We are not, nor will we get growth at AWA. All new flying will be put on the AAA certificate as that will be the surviving operating certificate. We have offered a few openings to furloughed AAA pilots (vegas i believe) but that is due to attrition not growth.

No offers yet that I have seen.
