Fabric repair info - CubCrafters fabric repair instructions

The CubCrafters FX-3 AMM does not have info on repairing fabric should you get a tear. I emailed and suggested an update to the AMM and was provided the AMM for different Type which should be a good reference if needed. I have no idea how to patch fabric if that time ever comes.

Jeeze, it’s been so long since I’ve even thought about that stuff-on most certificated airplanes like Bellancas, Cubs, Stinsons and T-buckets (older Maules used Razorback IIRC, don’t know about now) that were certified with Grade A Cotton and dopes it would be AC-43-13. For those a/c the Stits Poly-Fiber, Ceconite and Razorback were done under an STC.

So the repair method while largely the same would be dependent on the covering system used, so go to the controlling reference material.

What is a carbon cub covered with from the factory, or did you do the covering yourself?

In the good old days duct tape was an acceptable emergency repair...
