Hopefully you guys (Comair) will be able to welcome us into your crew room in CVG some day. I'd love to do some flying out there. Maybe Delta will be nice enough to give us some of your flying out of there some day. Wouldn't that be a peach???

Just ask ASA, CHQ, and ACA. We've had CVG roommates for years. And yes, you would be welcomed. Just don't switch the TV in the middle of SportsCenter, and watch the first door, its broken.

don't you mean make sure you change it to Sportcenter...everytime I have to spend time in there its allways on CNN....after about 10 minutes I usually let out a few profanities and change it to ESPN...

Don't take it personal, I've passed by ASA crews in the terminal, said hello to them, and they kept walking without an acknowledgement...oh, did I mention I was wearing my ASA uniform when this happened.

I personally go out of my way to say 'hi' to the CMR guys in SLC. It does seem that overall our(Skywest) crews are sometimes a little "busier" in SLC. I try to smile and nod all the time...response are about 50%. I don't know why...but don't let a cold shoulder or two bug you, CMR, I don't think most of us want to take anything "out on you". Perhaps while your wowing us with your pay you can properly explain why you and many of your brethern bought your jobs.

Remember the SLC 8 is a radar vector departure.

Perhaps its nothing more than a difference in geography. Here in the Midwest we have "the nod" while you're walking and the "one-handed steering wheel wave" while driving. I know you'll get a wierd look on the East Coast if you try them there.

Warning: If a Comair pilot offers you chili, don't take it. Its really spaghetti with nasty sauce. Oh, and when we say "please?" we really mean "please say that again." It took me months of saying "Thank you" before I figured that one out.

I also agree that they should be thanking us for joining a union, and getting higher pay for all airlines of our type. I won't hold my breath, though.

I usually say hi to any crewmember I see. Guess what? At least once a day I have one that doesn't even acknowledge that I'm talking to them. This even happens with crews from my own airline. So, why don't you all just quit your stupid bickering and just realize that there are bad apples in every bunch. Jeez guys, this stuff is getting old.

Also, when you bump into your fellow XJet pilots that bought their jobs(and don't say there aren't any because we all know there are), make sure you call them whores too. Which is more like a whore...being nonunion or paying for a job? Oh wait, nevermind... you can't reason with a rabid Xjet guy.

Face it. Unless you were a military pilot, you bought your job too. Or in most cases, your parents did. Paying for your ratings and CFI are no different than paying for training at the next level. I guess most of us are guilty in one way or another when it comes to that.

I do not condone PFT, nor did I do it. That was a mistake. By waiting until PFT was over at Express, I lost enough seniority to get knocked out of the left seat after 9/11. Had I done the PFT and gotten hired years earlier, I never would have taken the pay cut. The $10,000 I would have spent on PFT, I more than lost by staying on F/O pay for another three years.

If you want to look at it that way, SWA has PFT also by requiring the type before getting hired.

So, I'll still call security if I see one of you non-union whores in our crewroom. Your SIDA badge gives you access to the ramp. Not having a COEX ID badge means you do not "legally" have unescorted access to the crewroom. If nothing else, I bet I could get the chief pilot to toss you out. I'll even help him. In CLE, our non-union whores are allowed to come in as far as the ops window for the paperwork. Their "crewroom" is at the top of the stairs in a hallway. Keep turning the unions down folks... It's all about you, after all.

I don't follow your logic: You here state you do not agree with PFT, though in retrospect you wish you had, all the while having the audacity to call SkyWest pilots whores for being non-union?

So you regret not being a PFT "whore" while calling others out for something that does not even approach doing the damage you wish you had done to the industry? You can't have it both ways.

Thanks for the invite to explain how you started the race to the bottom. I see you have company on the board as PFT and, seemingly proud of it.

While others were earning a position in the proper, if not glamerous (but still honorable) path you dropped to your knees like a street hooker and toked on a schlong to get your position. Before you ever set foot in the industry you were doing your part to destroy it. There has to be a genesis to the state we collectively are in today. I can trace that back to your original sin of having no pride in yourself or your profession. PFT, what a way to start out. I suppose the good thing is that people know what you do, only thing to do is negotiate the price. Much the same as a prostitute.
