No. No exact numbers of furloughs yet from the company other than the "doom and gloom" memo from the VP of flight Ops (300 pilots, 225 FA's).

Results of Sept "COLA's" and the 149 captain displacement bid haven't been released yet, so exact furloughs haven't been announced and probably won't until next month sometime.

Expect it to be a lot less than the "doom and gloom" letter...(the company loves to be melodramatic with both negative and positive news).

As a former Comair pilot I can tell you most of us had no issue with the Delta pilots. Infact, EVERYONE I associated with, did not endorse the RJDC and welcomed furloughed Delta pilots on property..any furloughed pilots for that matter. I did not support the minority who wanted the RJDC nor did i support many of the decision our MEC made. You are clearly one angry individual who needs to move on with life. I wish not only the Comair pilots all the best, but Delta too. You guys are by no means outof the woods. Oh yeah, "Scumbag?" HA, ha, I'd love to see you say that to even one Comair pilots face. Hiding behind this electronic world of flightinfo. I think you are the scumbag....nah, more like a Pu$$y.

No, WARN letters only have to be given if a certain percentage of the workforce is effected. The CP told us yesterday that since the FAs managed to get 200 Part Timers, etc that the number of people (ie pilots) is less than the required percentage of workforce. His response was that they could furlough tomorrow if they wanted to.

If you work for Delta then you should understand how wholly owned work. Comair is just a puppet and Mother Delta controls it. Delta decided to not help your furloughs out. DELTA OWNS COMAIR. DELTA CONTROLS COMAIR!

Let me guess from your attitude that you work for Delta?

Are you mad at OH pilots for standing up for themselves and going on strike?

Are you upset that ALPA screwed up with the whole RJ issue 15 years ago?

ALPA let the line between the commuter airlines and major airlines get so blurred that now they are a clear and present danger to everyones future progression. ALPA should have never, EVER let the regional jet show up at any airline except the majors. But, then again Delta pilots thought that they were above flying an all glass cockpit CRJ100. Now, just about every major is furloughing and all you can do is blame Comair pilots. I would have been very happy flying a BE-1900 for a commuter then moving to a major to fly a CRJ with the future to progress up to larger planes.

Before you spew your hatred on someone else perhaps you should look at your own house. Remember don't try to remove the speck from your neighbors eye before you remove the plank from your own.

I don't like to hear of anyone getting furloughed (even if it's at mesa) but scope language should say "if its a jet only a pilot of [insert major airline of your choice here] senority list will fly it." Quit giving away your own job and maybe your management team won't hire someone else to do it! And, yes I think the cat is out of the bag and already dead in the street so putting it back in the bag is not an option.

A Comair guy probably is the father of your kids, that is why you have such hatred for them.

Get ready for furlough #2 acrape! Your diluted thoughts on the pilots at Comair is just killing your "karma". Besides, alot of the guys there now haven't even been around since your first fulough.

He was born in the cockpit of a Delta plane and never left. That's how hardcore he is.
It's amazing how many guys get hired by Delta and completely lose sight of where they came from.
I know a couple of guys there who try and mesh with the former Military guys.
Even the guy I know who got hired on there from GoJets seems to forget he ever flew for the regionals.
Do they brainwash you guy during indoc? I've heard stories about they invite your wives and families in and sit there and tell them how great you are, and thats why you're at Delta. But I thought that was a little far fetched.
After talking to more and more DAL guys, they seem to actually think that load of crap they're fed.

I spent nearly 8 years at a regional. I have no hatred to any other pilot grouop regional or major, just Comair! Let em starve, shut em down. It will probably save hundreds of peoples lives.
