Lets not turn this into a holy war fellas...whats done is done. It happened and we have no control over that. Some of our beliefs are different. just because I believe in a higher power and choose to live my life based on those beliefs doenst mean i push it on those who dont. Lets try and keep our eyes on the prize here....we have a fellow pilot who is going through an extremely tough time right now because of what happened....regardless of what some of us think the cause was....all of us debating about wether or not there is a God and if it was his will that this happened will get us nowhere. All we can do is pray and hope for the best for our fellow pilot.

I think you meant to say, all we can do is stay current, get enough rest, and avoid complacency at all costs and understand that mistakes happen and we should learn from this one and hope this pilot can live a somewhat normal life

There is nothing wrong with Praying for him. I have been. You do what you want but dont tell someone they shouldnt pray for him. If thats not your thing then fine.

You should have been born thousands of years ago and solved all of the religious fights that have plagued the world. Not only that but all of the wasted time we give to religious groups, we could all get more sleep.

thank you for catching me...i realize that probably sounded a little bit hipocritical and self critisizing....i was trying to be as PC as possible....

I'm well aware of fatigue problems. THE COMAIR ACCIDENT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH FATIGUE - or circadian rhythms or any of the other mumbo jumbo used to describe the fact that people who don't get enough sleep get tired AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN AWAKE FOR A WHILE.

These guys were awake MAYBE 3 hours, if they were fatigued after that they didn't have a regulation problem - they had a serious individual medical problem.

Fatigue us a VERY REAL problem in this industry, but this accident IS NOT fatigue related - and people who try to use this accident to pontificate about fatigue just make their arguments look stupid and hurt us all. YOU should be ashamed of yourself for trying to pin fatigue on this accident thus destroying any credibility that those of us who understand fatigue issues and are working to get something done have built up.

Those of you who say you are praying for the FO, what do you say/think? I am not religious so I don't know what you'd be saying/thinking/asking for.

You are beyond ignorant...take your argument to NASA, who conducted so darn many studies on this issue that the evidence is conclusive. Fatigue goes beyond how much rest you were scheduled for. Circadian rhythmms, time zone changes, light, and other factors make the equation...not a determined amount of "rest".
But I guess in all your 1250 hours that you know more than NASA....

Amen to that brother. I believe that God will be glorified in his life in the future. Word is, he had been reading the Bible regularly in the recent past. God regularly uses tragedy to bring Glory to himself. Remember the cruxifixion of Jesus Christ? (tragedy) How about his resurrection? (Glory!)

Anyway, what or who created the Universe? That entity was and is Almighty God. One of Newton's laws supposes to prove it, 'The cause of every reaction is an equal and opposite reaction'. You say "who created God?" Well, who created who created God, and on to infinity. That reasoning has to stop somewhere, and logically, it stops at God. So, God created the universe, and our galaxy, solar system, planet, and us humans by default, at the very least.

The question really to be asked is "Is God a personal or impersonal God?" And the answer is found in the person of Jesus Christ.
