That's interesting. How are things when you guys share facilities? I've never heard of pissing contests amongst the groups but does that stuff take place there?

I've run into a bunch of FNWA pilots and they've all been great. Got a fantastic tour of Narita.

While everyone has their issue, most pilots are adult about these things and realize that we are all in the same canoe now, so it's best that we all paddle in the same direction.

I have not heard of any problems, and I even had dinner with a couple DAL-N pilots in AMS, and they bought mine. We all talked about the future of DL, not about the SLI etc.

Bye Bye--General Lee

SLI:

1. On the date the merger is announced, establish independent lists by seniority within the respective carriers.
2. Sequester the lists at 5 year increments and rank based on relative seniority.
3. Aggregate the lists and establish "healthy" fences to get the baby boomers at or near retirement.
4. Move on

My only change is that in Number 1 they should have the lists they established back when they FIRST tried to merge..........

Was just thinking about that. Relative seniority at United has changed dramatically since 2008, correct?

So if I am at approximately 75 % at CAL will that mean I am going to be approximately 75 % at UAL ?? What DOH is a UAL pilot with 75 %? I think somebody is going to be pissed! I hope this is not like a US Airways merger, but I feel we are headed in that direction.

There is no reason to not believe the new airline should include some immediate, new flying. This merger should include a large aircraft order or a re-appropriation of 70+ seat jets. CAL is attemting to become a runaway shop. We need to slam the outsource door and then there will be plenty of flying for the entirety of both lists.

Why not every pilot? Track down all the pilots and find out if they are coming back. (Both MECs already doing this) Make a determination how many airplanes the new company needs to keep/get them ALL working and go after that number of airplanes. Money is second to this. Besides, we go after money and it's going to be hoarded by the scabs, 570s and the over 60 guys. Who, by the way, are the ones who will need to get religion on this deal.

probably scabs.

No, they were hired I believe in 2005-2006 timeframe and having to go through 757 school after getting bumped off the 777. They were all for a merger and the had nothing good to say about some of the scab captains at CAL and some of the weak dicks over there as well. UAL has scabs and self serving SOBs as well.

I thought that is what I meant by the post - I agree......
