These bases won't happen until a JCBA. If the company wants them bad enough, maybe it will be motivation to finally negotiate.

And they still won't negotiate.Wrong. They will happen.
Not entirely correct:
Section 13

Section 1Definitions used in this Transition and Process Agreement
1-C. Airline Party. Continental, UAL, United.
1-S. Party. An Airline Party or ALPA.
They already showed up on CAL pilots' BES bid screen--for about an hour. Last time that happened was Jan for LAX. Had crews in there by May. This time it was 737s in Chicago and Denver. So, how does UAL announce the opening of a new base?
I can't wait to get ALPO off the property. Theyve done NOTHING but hurt pilots.
Whatitdoing, the past is the past, come on now.
They didn't say anything more than that. It would start when they've exhausted the UAL furlough list. The first ones started training in Oct I believe, they're 2/3 way through now, so I'd think mid-year. Just a guess. They might be required go through the UAL list a second time though.
JCBA is at a standstill on the scheduling section, although there are rumors it is moving since the FAA rest rules cames out. The company returned the latest proposal back to union on Wednesday. Should hear today or next week whether it's a serious counter or just more of the same rope-a-dope.
Bluefin and others, I am truly sorry if I've been inaccurate. I've been furloughed and know how important accurate info is in the ebb and flow of hoping to get back. I had heard they'd been through nearly 1,000 guys. Not true, 30% is probably a better number, I am at the 2/3 point and have not been offered anything yet, and probably will not be offered anything this year.
