My comments about our whining we not only directed at you but everyone. Fact is that we are lying in bed with each other. We cannot change that, so make the best of it.
From ones perspective or another the other one may get the better deal. They are getting more money, we are getting less. Would you prefer that they are not at parity with us? Do you think that having a guy flying next to you pi$$ed off at you is a good thing? Do you want to deal with that for the rest of your careers? Ask some NWA guys how they feel about going to work and dreading who they are flying with. If we have anything less than parity, we are opening ourselves to a whipsaw. I prefer to get a modest raise, NWA go get a sizable one and be able to sit down and have a great conversation with the person I am flying with for the next 30 years. I like coming to work, I would hate to have that change. With all of the other BS in this job, at least I can still enjoy sitting up front with someone that has the same experiences as I, and share a few hrs chatting about this and that. Dealing with someone that hates ME(DAL or NWA) the company and how they got screwed is a miserable way to earn a paycheck. If I wanted that I would go get a desk job.

Excellent post. Speedbird34, you cannot know that your QOL will decrease. A SLI has not even been decided yet. Of course the NWA pilots are going to get higher percentage raises than we do. We make more than them and we want it to be equal. Let's wait and see what this JPWA brings and hope it make things better for ALL of us. Leave the speculation to the oil traders.

for you DAL guys that are worried about the DC9's, It is common knowledge that the dc9s will be sticking around as a filler until OUR mgmt team finds a replacement. RA has made it obvious they are ready to get rid or 50 seaters and guess what plane is going to fill in? For instance early this year it was announced we were going to end the year with 58 remaining dc9s recently it was announced we would be instead keeping 61 which to me says the NEW DAL has a plan for them as of right now. I know things are always subject to change but dont get your panties in a wad just yet over the dc9, Its a good thing that a Mainline aircraft is actually going to be taking some flying back!! ;)

Speedbird34 you have alot of built up animosity towards NWA, Did working at Pinchanickle really scare you that bad? Take a deep breath tomorrow probably is going to still come. ;)

I can assure you that it will be a while before I share a drink with a Northwest pilot on a layover.
:)

I'll buy you a beer on any layover anywhere, and I'll be happy to drink with you. If the entitlement mentality that has carried you through your career to this point has made you too proud to drink with with me then to hell with you.

PWAs and SLIs are formed far above our pay grade. You have your vote, just as I have mine. If you're too small a man to accept the results and wish to sit in your corner and harbor your own personal grudge.... well then the rest of us have little use for you.

Are there issues, yeah... huge issues... on both sides of the proverbial fence. It's gonna be a mighty painful couple of years. But if your pride, your resentment, and your sense of entitlement make you feel like you're too good to tip a beer with me, then I have no use for you. If you feel that strongly now without even knowing the details that the devil wrought, then you are most likely to retire a withered and bitter old man.

Good luck to you. The rest of us will get past this and learn to live with each other.... sooner rather than later, I hope. Take your poison elsewhere.

Occam is bais!!

Speedbird is dyslexic!!

He wants his 40% pay raise and the merger provides him a better life.

If I was destined for a 40% pay raise and a better life, I'd be even happier.

My "want" is to avoid the bloodletting I believe awaits my peers at the other, non-merging, legacy airlines.

He has no interest in the wellbeing of any Delta pilot.

Actually, I wish success for all of them...except perhaps one. Luckily for you, my duties as a Minister of Vengence are mostly ceremonial.

His veiws are always completing driving his own benefit.

All your sentence are belong to us!

I would never vote him to represent my interest!!

You're too late!

Congrats on getting pay raises Occam.

Right back at you, LOA 19 Boy.

My question is very simple.

Considering the source, I'm not surprised.

Tell me in plain terms what I benefit from the merger.

1. Letter 19.
2. The Joint Contract.

All this abstract talk about a stronger Airline makes no sense to me.

So I gathered. Ironically, the 220 you got on your SAT Verbals are starting to make more sense to me.

A stronger Airline that is going to put me on the street, not improve my quality of life in anyway, displace me from my seat and give my seniority and position to a diffrent group of pilots just to go forward with some merger and trash my career expectations.

I can get you a United interview. You interested?

Fortunately, pilots with more intelligence and foresight than you (subset = everybody), who are capable of analyzing the environment, and our options, are making the big decisions. All you have to do is vote "yes" to LOA 19 (which was not achieved at the spontaneous benevolent insistence of your management, but rather due to the merger with NWA), and "yes" to the joint contract.

You can also vote "no". Since it's a secret ballot, the number pilots mocking you for your stupidity will be limited to those that read your posts.

I would have like a little compensation for all this headache. I have no reason personally to support the distruction of my career.

A merger that improves your pay, benefits, and work rules...while giving you access to more flying and a more secure future...is not "destruction".

I have no respect for your opinion. It shows the Northwest side of the coin. Always has and always will.
You cannot accept my diffrent veiw so you resort to throwing around insults which mean nothing to me.
When some worthless:uzi: pilot whose background I cannot put a finger on throws trash around a message board I do not even lose any sleep over his comments. I am quite confident that I most likely will exceed you mentally in every mental test that exist ;)
Those who know me will agree! IQ again most who know me will laugh at you.
At Delta we have a better process of keeping retards like you out of our ranks. You are lucky to be sneaking in via a merger.   RETARD

LMAO! Ooppss i think i peed :0 ;)
Hope you enjoy my response to Occam as much.

Now we know you are 27 yrs old but I am sure you are potty trained. No peeing in your pants son;)

Could not help it Superpilot or should I say superman. You are a good kid and really loyal to Northwest. :) Does your dad work there?
I like you and I am not bitter towards your Airline just raising awareness amoung the ranks that we also deserve compensation at Delta for this merger.

Speedbird is projecting his inadequacies onto others...
In all seriousness, is English your second language?

Was just stating a reverse opinion! No bitterness towards you but the battle to be treated fairly is on right now and we also have a position on the Delta side and want something from the merger.

Not really if that is a good way to put it, Just lazy and spelling was never my strongest gift. like math and solving complex problems. Need a spell checker but I feel flight info is not worth it.
I am also a bit older and beginning to miss stuff as Occam stated earlier.
He has quite a perception for a retard:laugh:

My mind is typically light years ahead of my fingers and I have to slow my mind down to make sense of the gabbage that Occam typically throws around.

Now we know you are 27 yrs old but I am sure you are potty trained. No peeing in your pants son;)
"Son", any reason to talk condesinding? Considering you're an advocate of not pre-judging people or talking down to them why do you do it here?

Could not help it Superpilot or should I say superman. You are a good kid and really loyal to Northwest. :) Does your dad work there?Dont have any family members in this industry. I am the only one crazy enough to get into it.
I like you and I am not bitter towards your Airline just raising awareness amoung the ranks that we also deserve compensation at Delta for this merger. What are you talking about? You guys are getting compensation or do you not remember LOA 19? And now the joint TA? Which may or may not be more money than LOA 19. But in light of the current state of the industry its nice that we have the opportunity of getting pay raises while so many are losing their jobs. Do you suggest you guys should get more money than us? .

We are all about to be Delta Pilots and to preach that you should be treated differently is pretty short sighted. Lets hope for the the best deal we can get ALL get. We'll see. Oh and please use spell check, it will cover up your lack of the ability to spell words. ;)

Spell check will do little for his incorrect word usage and word placement randomly throughout his run-on sentences....

Just teasing you Superpilot by calling you son. Have I found the chink in your armor!!
True to type there you go supporting Occam. That is loyality. I have no regrets about my statements towards Occam. He began it by hurling insults.
I am not pro merger, never will be and I still do not see what the benefit is for me! You want to call that childish have fun. But I assure you I am not the only Delta pilot who feels this merger is a windfall for the Northwest side.
We will try to make the best of it. But save the insults for those who care! Again as I said I like you!!
I am not getting a spell checker you guys seem to figure out what I am saying. Flight info is not worth the trouble.

Once more another Northwest guy who is unhappy I am not falling on my knees thanking God for how merging or flying with him has saved me.
Lighten up Francis! ;)

If you can not make sense of my spelling or word placement enjoy the smiley face. here is something you may understand.
