No where.......there are no flights from STN.......puzzle me that one!

Why does anybody work there? As long as there are pilots willing to accept this QOL there will be places like this.

Atlas will be interviewing for a late april start.

my recommendation is to:

not even try due to the very poor working conditions there, it is horrible. or, if you want a 400 type, take a loa from your current job and then just quit atlas after the ride. or. get the type and then call korean, NCA etc. and make some serious coin and be based at home!!!

they are hiring due to attrition of junior crewmembers, dont let them tell you anything else. 18 have quit this year just for QOL issues alone. you will get no help getting to london to work. you will have to do training events in london on your own dime. you will not get any kind of sympathy for missed trips etc.

ps. I am bitter, but instead of just complaining and continuing to work there, i went out and got a better job.

Good for you my good friend. You're of a rare kind, and by that i mean that yeah you got a bit bitter, yeah you bi*hed and moaned for a bit, but you quit and got something better. Unlike a bunch of chumps that moan and moan and moan and never move on. The day I become completely misserable in aviation is the day you will find me at the Marriot hotel kitchen cooking some mean cuisine! Good luck

Guys,

This is not a place for junior guys, because of the STN basing. I'm going on almost 9 years here at Atlas, so my QOL is not really affected, I only hope that we can get some of the QOL issues sorted out through upcoming negotiations.

I think it's great that guys are leaving, due to the STN basing, hopefully management will get a clue and fix things, but there never seems to be a shortage of guys wanting to fly a 747, and the company knows that, so fixing this thing might take a little longer than anticipated.

Guys, know what you're getting into before signing up!

spoken like a true mainline puke. "it doesnt affect me so i dont give a ********************" yes, why dont the junior guys quit so the senior guys dont have to deal with the stansted issue. at 9 years seniority you're not too far away from being displaced to stn, how will that affect your QOL.?
