"What are my chances of winning here?"

-"Not good"

"You mean not good like 1 out of 100?"

-"I'd say more like 1 out of a million."

"So you're telling me there's a chance. Yeah! Alright. I read ya."

Hmm. a 1 in (a lot) chance of winning an ipad or tv, or 4 days of *guaranteed* rest/recovery/time with family for minimum sick time usage. Gonna have to sweeten the pot more than that for me. Not looking forward to sharing an a/c with sick co-workers. TFAYD!

Oil over $100, number 3 economy in the world in shambles, CMR and Horizon shrinking.....ASA pilots find something new to complain about...Maybe we should just hand out Midol and tampons at duty in....

Oh, why don't you just sue us all for having a little fun?

I'm now officially disappointed I did get hired there...

I think I now know why though. When we were waiting on finger prints, one of the other interviewees saw that "attendance counseling: sign on the wall and asked me what I thought it might be. I told him it was where I'd be spending a lot of time after I hit the line. Desk girl thought it was funny at least....

Ahaha...Piers Morgan interrupts his interview of the Japanese Prime Minister, he hushes the PM, puts his finger to his earpiece and intently listens....Then announces the breaking scandal of ASA offering TVs and Ipads to employees who make it to work 10 weeks in a row! The humanity, the gall! Bloody hell!
Now that is funny shiiiiiiiiizt!!

This Isn't just for pilots.

And when CAL was a better company they used to have a drawing for one Ford Explorer a year for perfect attendance.

Many companies use these kind of incentives.

Yes, lots of a&ps have gone to DAL and lots of pilots will leave when hiring starts. ASA will have to be competitive to staff. Timing in the contract could work out for is like last time.

That's not a bad idea. At least it will help with the pain and bleeding...

True... But you know everything revolves around us. We are the Alpha and the Omega!!!!
Most of the time I would be joking with that statement. But this time I believe this is being focused at the pilot group.

Tight A$$'S Measaba gave away an SUV of your Choice, Dodge, Chevy, Jeep, Ford in a drawing during the P.F. Years

Know what your Worth!!!

I see this as very different though.

This is an extremely pop-up, short term deal. Perfect attendance from the day of the announcement until 10 weeks later???

They might as well come out and say, "we're totally screwed on staffing in the next ten weeks."

Hopefully a lot of people get a cold in the next two months.

Don't be surprised if all the winners are from the go or acs.

Pilots are pissed, last place in just about everything measurable, lost about 40-50 mechanics 'cause you treat them like crap too, new ones are right out school and don't know an RJ from their own ass, a/c are falling apart, open time galore, out of reserves every day....

Your airline is falling apart and your plan is iPads and a couple of TV's???? Please tell me you have something more

Nope. They got nothing!

Hey, 65 hr lines with 12-14 days off worked GERAT, huh?!?!?

Does ASA not have the money to hire pilots right now? Is that the reason that they're going to hire in mass numbers like they are on the ExpressJet side?

Financially it doesn't seem like Atlantic Southeast is doing too well right now, but even they must think that it's cheaper to hire some new pilots than eait for the integration to be complete. Theyre not going to have a unified labor group for a while...

ASA leadership has NO IDEA what they are doing. Skywest has a brilliant CEO, but he seems to be letting ASA sink their own ship.

Atkin, Ornstein are brilliant if not shrewd businessmen. ASA has Brad Holt. While affable and mostly honest, he seems to let middle management run things and they are border line retarded.

Border line?? You're too nice.

Me thinks JA and BH do things with the INC picture in mind. Ergo, INC (and by extension JA) is running the whole show.

That is very possible. Even if ASA disappeared next week Jerry made his original investment back already,

don't b forgetting the vacation buyback program going on for April, its even been extended now, thanks for all u do now give us back your vacation time you turds cause we b needing pilots, never mind the long sits in hotels and low value pairings

:bomb:
anyday now !

Well, it appears that it's still the same old ASA that it was when I left 5 years ago! I almost thought the thread was some sort of gag at first. However, this scheme is right up there with the infamous Christmas cookies. ASA always seemed like a runaway reactor on the verge of meltdown from hate and discontent!

Not in April! Next month we'll have a 6 leg day followed by a 9hr overnight and 7 legs! But at least they're high credit. BTW, Thanks for all you do!

OMG, don't remind me of those cookies! I use them as chocks on my truck while changing tires. They are still just as rock-hard as when they issued them years ago. Nothing has changed here, just the paint jobs.

If you have access to ourasa I highly suggest reading the comments on this "incentive". Very entertaining! ;)

Makes me feel all nostalgic about the cookies and gold plated tin ornaments we use to get for Christmas. Those were the days!

Holy crap, you're not kidding. No wonder we're supposedly hurting for money. Look at all the meals that Brad and Scott are going to have to buy while they go on their "Disgruntled Employee Lunch Dates."
