Allegiant Interview

Was wondering if any Allegiant guys/gals could post an interview gouge. I have an upcoming interview and was wondering what to expect. Feel free to PM me if you don't wish to post the info. Thanks

I wouldn't take any advice from this poster. He is the chosen one after all. He might have been playing pocket pool during the entire interview process, either way the job was his.

Yes they are. The interview dates I was offered were 11/20 11/23 and 11/30. Thanks for the info guys.

You get there on your own dime plus hotel.

You get there early. Take note of the values of the company all over the entranceway.

There is a short presentation about Allegiant. Pay attention to this and the details. The HR Lady will ask some offbeat question about the presentation to you in the interview (eg When did Allegiant start flying? etc).

Two straight forward interviews. One is with the Chief Pilot and a line pilot. The other is with the HR lady and a line pilot. Each about 45min-1hr in length. All TMAAT questions. In between the interviews you will be sent to the coffee station. They have been known to send in people into the coffee station to spy on the people and see how friendly they are, etc (incl. Sr VP's). So be friendly to those walking in and out of there.

Keep in mind they know they are pretty much the only ones hiring right now and are being pretty choosey.

You will easily make a 1:30-2pm flight out of LAS.

Anyone know how many and when they plan to have a class? I thought they interviewed for the next class a few months back. Do they have a pool?

quick questions for those that work at Allegiant...how large is the base in Reno? How long would it take a new hire to be based there? What about Vegas? Thanks for the insight!

Reno is closed next month.

As stated above, Reno will be closing at the end of the month. The casino has reduced their flying to the point that a base didn't make sense any longer.

Vegas is a large base, and will generally have slots open for a new hire. If for some odd reason it didn't, you can generally get it within a few months.

I understand the difficulties in commuting for Allegiant, but are there any protections for those that do (i.e. commuter clause ect.) thanks

I've been here over 3 years and have had no trouble commuting at all. We are CASS, and I have used Southwest, Airtran, American, Delta and FedEx. The only difference would be commuting for SFB, PIE, UTA or IFP, you will have to commute to a different airport and drive to these bases. It seems normal now and I've had little trouble catching flights that are around an hour from my scheduled "in" time, even if it's a 35 to 45 minute drive. Amazing that I have had no speeding tickets either.

Can any of you Allegiant pilots provide an example of what a typical month might be for you? What would a "commutable line" look like? Overnights or all out and backs with a crashpad? What about reserve? 2 hour call out?
