No 13, 14, or 15 year F/O rates

1.5% raises every year for COLA.

Remember, we didn't have anything more than 8 year F/O rates, so increases after that are a bit misleading.

Signing bonus is a formula (the formula doesn't really seem to work):

1.17% times 48 months at your current pay scale.

Me: Year 2 F/O ..... $63.48 * 1.17 * 48 = $3,565 (payout scale actually shows $2,957).

$1,991 for a 1st year F/O.
$5,581 for a 3rd year CA (CA scale starts here).

Max 8th year F/O $3,988
Max 14 year CA $7,937

Not even one month at guarantee at the OLD rates...

pay scales are great but its what the check says on payday that really counts.
Yup.

A 13% pay raise.

Deduct 3% for door-to-door.
Deduct 3% for loss of 4 hour day (on average looking back at my actual pay).

Becomes 6% pay raise, or not even COLA.

Not to mention SCOPE,,, did I mention SCOPE? ;)

if we sign this turd, we are all gonna need a big jar of this:

How many times did AP and the BOD tell us not to focus on hourly pay and instead look at the whole package? What's the first thing they post? Pay and signing bonus. That could very well be the best part of the deal and that ain't gonna sell it (I hope!).

The doctor's note requirement is enough to make me vote: NO!
Hey SkiFishFly, I've read through all 66 pages of the TA and no where in there do I see that you must submit a doctor's note. I see that we can return to a trip after calling in sick. I see that our sick bank will increase to 5 hours a month and that the emergency sick bank will be terminated. Just curious where you saw the note thing. I'm reading the whole TA on the Union website under TA.

Guys on the Union web page there is a 66 page detail of the TA, section by section. Some highlights....Pay will begin when the aircraft is pushed back for departure unless the door has been shut for more than 5 minutes. Then our pay will start on the 6th minute if the aircraft has not been pushed. 13 hour duty day may be scheduled. Short call and long (12 hour ) call out for reserves. The scope goes up to 86 seats. In Jan 2008 terminate the Platinum ppo. It says that you will get paid minimum 4 hours for a day trip and 4.5 hour average for multiple days. Well folks, just a few things I read. If you aren't able to access and have a question...just let me know.

Shark, what you are reading is a Powerpoint synopsis of the T.A.

NOT the full document.

It's the MEC's highlights, nothing more. Of course they're not going to tell you the bad parts, that's not in their best interest.

Don't make your decision on the Powerpoint presentation on the website, wait until you have the FULL document, which is going to tell you a lot of things the Powerpoint presentation didn't...

Scope:

Sub-service operator allowed to operate up to 86 seats, as long as that operator doesn't operate any aircraft with more than 106 seats or aircraft with a Max Ramp Weight of greater than 114,000 pounds.

In other words, the Embraer 100-seat RJ in a business class configuration with 86 seats may be used.

Maximum utilization up to 20% of our total fleet size. Ex. If we have 150 aircraft, the company can contract out up to 30 RJ's, 15 of which can be greater than 79 seats. The rest must be 70-seaters.

No limit on turboprop flying, including the Q-400.

Separate pay scale for sub-100 seat flying done by AAI pilots, haven't seen the scale yet, it's not posted.

I personally think they gave a sub-100 seat pay scale mainly to make people think a 90-seater would be operated by us.

Oh by the way, for the jumpseat war people, the $25 jumpseat charge is gone...

One of the few pluses I've seen so far.

4.5 hour average for the trip and loss of pay at door closed will cost me $373.85 on this trip. Any guesses on my vote.

Thanks Lear 70, but I read about 3 pages into the Powerpoint Presentation of the contract before I made my decision. I definitely don't need to waste my time reading the entire p.o.s. I may print it off to use as toilet paper, but that appears to be it's only practical value to me at this stage.

This TA is a fu##ing insult. I can't believe the BoD approved it. It makes me sick to think of all the union dues I've paid the NPA over the last 3 years of negotiations..... for this??!! HELL NO ! ! ! ! !

I sure hope so. The only thing the Powerpoint shows me is that its a POS.
