    FAR 25.121 vs. AIM

Seems reasonable enough. And is right in line with what I was thinking. Basicly operating the A/C within it's limitations, via Part 125, and via company limitations May plant me squarely into rising terrain on a missed. Very often going into KASE in a XL we plan the flight for the 2.1 missed...

    FAR 25.121 vs. AIM

That's exactly what I think too. BUT every part 135 company I've ever flown for has said a 2.1 is required for a SE miss to the "safe altitude" both in the Ops Specs and the FOM. So how did they get there POI to sign off on that? And the first question remains, where did the AIM get 3.3?

    FAR 25.121 vs. AIM

Thanks for jogging my memory at 3am. What's the deal with 2.1 v 2.5 then. If I climb at 2.1 as per part 21 will I hit something?

    FAR 25.121 vs. AIM

FAR 25.121 says that for a single engine missed approach a 2 engine a/c must climb at 2.1%. The AIM say 200'/nm or a 3.3%. Where does the AIM get there number from? If it's the TERPS please provide a link. Can I assume that I should follow the AIM if it's more restrictive. Even though it's...

    Suggested routing Madrid to Singapore

That's perfect, what would I do with out you? Looks like this routing would work, MAD to CAI direct is a little long in pre-planning as well as BLR to SIN, so some sight seeing along the way. All-in-all 7246NM and about 14:19 hours flying. Location MADDMadrid [Barajas], ES CTADCatania...

    Suggested routing Madrid to Singapore

Been asked to consider taking a Citation XL from Madrid to Singapore. Very early in talks but wondering if anyone would have suggested routing. I think that 1750NM legs are well within all required fuel Min's. (figured 1500lb reserves) so I could push it to 1850/1900nm legs with the right winds...

What can your training provider do better?

I would like to know what you believe your training provider (FSI, SIMUFLITE, CAE, ECT....) could do better. What would make your time in class and in the sim more productive and therefore a better value? Thanks. PS I work at FSI in CMH and would very much like to put into action some of the...

Why is it that no one addresses the afte

Not what he met I think he was saying that of the people that do wash out, a majority do in the oral or on the check ride itself. Though I could be wrong.

How much does an ILS cost

It really doesn't, but I'm looking into hangering an aircraft there. The ILS would increase the utility of the airport and therefore increase revenue that the airport can turn around and use. Thus not relying on the cities general fund. If I can't satisfy their noise argument, maybe I can...

How much does an ILS cost

We have an NDB and several GPS approaches as well as a VOR (though it's 25NM long). The LAAS is a good idea, not sure why I missed that one. Thanks.

How much does an ILS cost

There is a meeting tonight of stupid citzens upset that the airplanes over head make to much noise. Never mind that the airport has been there longer then any of them have been alive. My question is, does any one know how much an ILS would cost the LOCAL tax payer. In other words how...

    few more questions

Some answers? I was always taught to climb out of iceing if you can, unless you know for a FACT that it is warmer lower or that you'll break out. The higher you get the colder it gets and maybe to cold for ice. And there is always the chance of an inversion sence cold air slices under warm...

    NetJet is gonna EXPLODE!

I figured it out I was just crunching some numbers. A 2nd year Capt @ NJA is making 3318/mo. or 39816/yr. I think your per diem is about 20/day or 3650/yr on the 7/7. Plus there is tip money you can pocket, what could that be 600/yr 39816 3650 600 ---------- 44066/yr. Oh here it...
