We cleared in FPR coming back from TNCM in teh spring, piece of cake. standard 2 hr prior permission, taxi onto their ramp, the FBO will come over, help you unload al lyour bags..take them in and clear and they will fuel on Customs ramp. We prefer to clear there if we have a choice
I've used Millionair there, they did a great job. stayed at the Delta hotel. Lots to do downtown, if you've got time, drive up to Whistler. I know it's outta snow season but still a nice place. Or catch the ferry or float plane over to Victoria, very nice over there too
Funny, my Dad is an A&P/IA and DOM for a corporate outfit...when I told him I was gonna be a pilot his response....
"Why would you wanna be a brain dead pilot?"
I hate to put too much credit in ProPilot magazine, we all know what smut comes from them. But I would be curious to read an article a year after completions begin and see what everyones impressions are.
I have a feeling the FBW will get kudos, however, like most have said above.
The guy in...
My fellow VOL fan, you're the reason most have left this place...read what people are trying to tell you. G200 spends ALOT of time going places where this airplane was designed to go. I think maybe he knows what he's talking about. His company has them on order, I bet Dassault has given them...
As posted by Dlfly, great group of guys...they do fly alot. They do have a set schedule though 3 weeks on call one week off, don't expect to fly every day on call either.
the above mentioned link is mostly from two guys who had bad attitudes, and still do...take it all with a grain of salt,those...
I think what he's getting at is this, you let the wings burn down, the outboard sections are going to cool faster than the relatively fatter and larger chord inboard section. So now you've only got fuel in the inboard 1/3 or perhaps abit more, now turn on gravity, the warmer(again relatively)...
I would recommend Sheldon at TLC, they are first rate. We fueled the morning before departing, the fuelers usually only fuel airlines afternoon so be aware of that.
If arriving in the afternoon, plan on maybe a few turns at SLUGO
Depends on where you are staying. There is a bus from Secaucus straight into the city, that's usually what I do. The Sheraton in Weehawken is right on the river and a short ferry ride across into the city.
While we're on the subject of International procedures courses, where would you recommend? I've toyed with the idea of staying a few extra days at a FSI recurrent and going through their program, any thoughts?

At the last dept I worked for, we received a letter from them asking if they could do an article on us. I'm not sure the CP even called to say "thanks, but no"
