Look, I wave to you, & you don't wave back. Is it because I'm in a "peanut shell" as described by a fellow aviator, or because I am enjoying life more than you are.
BTW, I am not an ERU grad. I know them, & respect them, & would place them in a higher bracket than myself...
Smoke this...
USMC319, I'm going to kill the DEN pax with kindness & hospitalty, can you say the same?? Collect your paycheck & go home, bro/keep your fingers crossed... cause we are here in full force...,
Keep doing the same thing... Charging higher fares... That's what it's all about, jarhead. Don't you get it?? It's not like the flu, cause we're here to stay. That could be terminal...
Dude was in my new hire class at SWA... Thank God he's wearing Brown... Always looking for an angle. BEWARE. Good Luck, hauling boxes & living in up NORTH. All of us are thankful to move up one more number!!
Wave the "white flag", along with UAL. Domestic is not where the money is... I've heard San Juan, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Montevideo. North/South, that's what I'm all about...
As for the victory dance, the one thing I don't want to hear about is, how can you withdraw out of your 401k before mandatory retirement, use your sick pay, & your vacation to manipulate your schedule, etc., to get to 65 or retire at 60... BTW, I don't want to see your toys (2nd house, planes...
We could take Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, (-700's can do), when Gary says GO, we will! However, certain costs constrain us. SWA takes every move with serious consideration. Sit, back, relax & enjoy the ride... Remember, who has never furloughed...ever...
You are very misinformed. CA upgrade now is 6.5 years. Projections for new hire is about 8 - 9 years. IMO, I'd rather be in the right seat here for that time, then where you are. I fly with folks that are happy & smiling versus angry and bitter.
BTW, I'd love to correct your grammar, but...
Agreed, if I had my way, every airplane would be exactly the same in terms of configuration. But it's not, so I go with the flow...
I think it's called saving money for the company...
Just know, that very smart folks are making decisions beyond my pilot brain...
I fly the airplane as best...
thor,
I've flown both: 737's w/VNAV, RNP, Internet, Autothrottles, Autoland, Dual AP, Aux fuel tanks, ETOPs + those w/o. SWA is a little behind the techno clock, however, to say they dumbed down the -700 is a foul ball. It does everything they want it to do for now to make $$. Tomorrow is...
Be nice, now. We can rag on the hooey that made many of us punch out, but let's not rag on each other.
So, you don't consider our "sister" pilots "each other". Well, thank goodness, you're gone. Times have changed my friend. Not all good pilots are dudes... I've had the pleasure of flying with...
Don't miss the AF, but I miss the pro's (99% of them) I flew with everyday. My new employer talks the talk & walks the walk in every way. I got alot of promises, but not much delivery in the AF. However, I would do it over again in a heartbeat--maybe I'm a glutton for punishment!
At SWA, the pay is great. As Gordon Gecko said, "greed is good". Or, if you want QOL, you can have that, too. They pay you for working hard, not slacking off in a hotel room. I've never seen a hotel room as nice as my own house. I'll pay for my vacations, thank you.
BTW, on pace to make...
