The plane I fly for a company is down for an inspection next week. One of the owners friends has graciously let us borrow his airplane(Bonanza) for a day as long as we put gas in it. I do recieve an annual salary for flying these guys around in the plane that they own but one of my freinds...
With ice season quickly approaching in the midwest I was wondering what are the best methods other than a pirep to determine cloud tops for flight planning and go/no-go decisions. The a/c I fly is not known ice but does have TKS.

Does NWA still do that "Dial Doug" session every other month? I worked ramp at 9E for a while last year and you could call in and voice your concerns to Doug Steenland. I always tried but could never get through, Anybody else have any luck ????
