Depends on the station. In CLT and LGA they appear to prefer that you don't list. I asked a CLT agent and said that even if I did list via the phone they'd still have to change it. For some reason all of the smaller stations I've js'd out of, they prefer you to list via the phone. ROA and RIC...
Anything is an improvement on our current books. The very fact that the ER fleet publishes a doc starting each section with "where does it say...." speaks volumes.
I did a few 5 days on the 9 and on the bus while on reserve and frankly I don't see the appeal. In my experience they weren't commutable on either end so what's the point? Granted I was on reserve so I probably wasn't seeing a good representation of a "good" 5 day. But an uncommutable 5 day? Really?
Kind of what I was thinking as well. To blame overbooking in this situation is a stretch. But hey my wife road along on my 24 hr Aruba overnight this weekend. Got 1st class as well. Do that a few times a year plus a vacation or two and it's hard to say nonreving is a worthless benefit. You just...

Fair question. I don't feel entitled to anything. DAL obviously has no obligation to offer an interview to any of us. I just want a chance to interview.
IMO you should take a ZED fare whenever you are traveling overseas. Especially when you are returning from a foreign country. Gate agents overseas don't always understand what a "jumpseat" is and ZEDs can be difficult to purchase once you are at an outstation. For one thing, a lot of foreign...
If possible I would bring a ZED fare as a backup just in case the gate agent down there doesn't understand the whole jumpseating phenomenon. I can't speak for DAL but at my airline they don't really deal with jumpseaters down there too much. The ZED will generally include all departure taxes and...
Paul Lasiuk from Chicago was on the plane.
"I've had bumpier landings here in Newark... The pilot did a great job," he said.
Sounds like the crew did a great job.
