can anyone tell me if the ICAO categories are different from the FAA ones, regarding Cat A,B,C,D,E etc for aircraft speeds/VREF on an IFR approach.

Now at "8 hrs TT Proline time"
Leaving a steam gage 1992 B-350 and now flying a newer model Proline 21 we just acquired.
For the first time in a long time (....3000 hrs PIC in steam gage 350 EFIS-85 by the way), I :

Just getting a feel for what you guys consider "automatic checkride busts." This came up as a hangar discussion at our place a few days ago.
We agreed these were automatic, no-choice-but-fail items
1. Incorrect turn on Missed Approach
2. Exceeding a limitation and not...
Possibly a Ford V Chevy argument, but money no object, and no option to buy twin, what would you buy and why ? Specific year, model, etc also

Going to FSI Atlanta for King Air recurrent. Always a ICT guy but trying Atlanta for a change in scenery.
