Not trying to act dumb here, but I would like to know how American Eagle pilots get paid. Is it a trip for pay such as SWA or a time based pay system.
This is not intended to be “flame bait,” rather to answer a personal question for myself.

Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has chosen US Airways marketing...
Just heard on the radio that SWA is eyeing the vacating DAL gates at DFW. They quoted Jim Kelly “it would allow SWA to go to key markets out of Dallas that we currently can’t serve do to legalities.”
I wonder what AA response would be?

I did a search but couldn't find anything.
I am wondering what the steps are to jumpseat on Northwest. Can you walk-up or do you have to list and if so what is that number?
Thanks in advance, RJ
The other day I was flying with a guy who just cracked me up. While at the gate going through the checklist we heard the forward lav flush. A moment later we stopped and looked at each other…the question on our faces where obvious. Then the captain said, “that’s a two bagger.” I was...

I received a Happy Holidays card/photo in the mail yesterday from Southwest and was quite happy to have received it, made my day. I showed it to my father (UAL Ret.) who's been visiting me and he said, "United would never in a million years do that."
It says a lot about Southwest to do this...
Just curious, what is the rotatation and approach speeds of the Concorde. I've been trying to fly the Concorde in my flight simulator 2000 and although I can get it in the air I'm always forcing it off well below what is probably the correct rotation speed. Also, I think I'm not flying the...
Last week I flew a trip in the King Air single pilot and had the pleasure of meeting a very nice young man who sat right seat. He has a little over 250 hours total time and his father has a Citation ISP that they often fly. He said he was going to get his type in the plane and as I recall when...
You've posted all this information on various companies but are they hiring?
I'd settle for a nightly run in an Mu-2 out of Dallas right now...any ideas?

Quick question for those who are knowledgeable: I'm interested to know what the approximate cost (approximate) would be to upgrade a Citation II to meet the RVSM requirements?

United Airlines (UAL) and its unionized support workers have reached a cease-fire. The union representing 23,000 ramp, customer service and other workers approved a tentative wage contract deal on Saturday with the beleaguered airline, opening the door for the stricken carrier to start getting...
Just when restriction seemed to be the daily flavor for aviation around the nation's capital, the feds decided to give pilots a little more leeway. At Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA), closed to GA operations since 9/11, discussions this week suggested that the Department of...
Boeing's 717 jets will soon lose their "eyebrow" windows above the cockpit. The decision to remove the glass was simply economic, and it probably won't stop with that model. The company is considering removing the eyebrow windows on the 737 as well. Gary Bartz, a senior engineer with Boeing...

April 29, 2002
A 2-foot-square piece of aircraft fuselage fell from the sky over Chicago late Sunday night, landing in the back yard of a Southwest Side home.
At about 11:30 p.m., residents in the Ashburn neighborhood heard the...
Re: Fuel system, tips tanks.
I'm trying to remember where the supply of bleed air pressure for the "tip tanks" originates...exactly where. Any help would be appreciated 'cuase I just can't remember.:(

I need a punch line, any thoughts?
A lady walks onto the airplane. She looks around and then spots the perfect place to put her luggage. As she bends over to pick up her luggage she farts very loudly. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little...
