Just heard on the radio that SWA is eyeing the vacating DAL gates at DFW. They quoted Jim Kelly “it would allow SWA to go to key markets out of Dallas that we currently can’t serve do to legalities.”

I wonder what AA response would be?

Can't/won't be done

Doesn't fit their operations model...30 min turn at DFW??!....NOT....30 min taxi maybe....

We will treat it like we do philly. Factor the taxi delays into the scheduled block. This is huge news. NONstops from Dallas to pretty much all major markets in the country at a price the consumers will pay. HUGE! BTW, a 25 minute gate turn is achievable at any airport in the country if you have the employees to do it like we do. Taxi delays are part of doing business. (We will get the delays ironed out as soon as our ATC liasions get ahold of ATC and explain how an effiecient airline works)

Everyone said that SWA wouldn't go to PHL because of the 30 min taxis, & we are now there. I wouldn't say that DFW is beyond the possibilitie, especially with Gary Kelly being quoted saying that nothing is off the table for SWA.

Yeah, and you got BWI ATC straightened right out with your ATC coordinators too.
