Dear FLIFO, Earlier this year, we got a pay raise which was cool, but there were no QOL improvements that everybody was asking for. We heard this big speech about how QOL change was going to come, and all these committees they were forming and blah blah blah. Well not a whole hell of a lot...
In the three years or so that I have been here, I have never flown with a captain that did not answer his phone during rest. They all ask, "if we get called early, how much time do you need?" And now I do the same thing. I've never met a single person that actually turns their phone off...
Yeah I heard the same thing. Supposedly there were a bunch of rest related ASAP reports this past winter and somebody in the FAA higher up than our POI noticed and investigated our rest rules. Evidently that person did not like what they found.
nothing has chaged. a lot of promises were made in january and nothing has been done but talk talk talk.
union drive is still going, more cards are being sent in.
...10 captain gets paid at year 9 rates)
Also keep in mind that the NetJets rate is their Lowest rate. I suppose I should have tried to use a company average but that only just occurred to me. Is the "flex" schedule 15 days/mo * 12 = 180 days/yr?
Any word on how close Options is to a contract?
ha, you know I have noticed that RH is always flying with the same guy. Everybody who sees him says "oh yeah, I saw Rick, he was in blah blah blah with so and so." Well so and so is always the same person. I dont get to pick who I fly with. He should have to bid for schedules the same as...
Welcome to the company. Go here, sign up, join in the discussions, print off a union card and send it in.

send an email to [email protected] to help speed up the sign up process since you are obviously not on the seniority list yet
When would it go into effect? FlexJet still has more than 2 months to go before our "better than industry average pay" sets in. I guess it wont be better anymore....
I know what the ACPs say. That is what they are required to say. Show me a pilot that turns off his phone, and was tried to be contacted by the company during rest, didn't answer, caused a schedule change, and did NOT get in trouble. I know only of pilots that DID get called into the office...
I've flown with a lot of captains and never came across one that turned his phone off. nobody does that here. And I dont believe anybody here on FLIFO when they say they do. You might talk tough and say that you do, but unless you post on the BlueBelly and say "I turn my phone off" I think...
this is all good stuff. here is the other big question: how do we get it changed at flex? I dont want to volunteer to be the fall guy who is the first to get called into the office for turning off my phone. unless we all do, it wont work. So what do we do?
