How exactly does the process work? you interview and get a conditional offer (maybe) and then a separate board reviews your file or something at a later date?
From what I've heard some airlines are not accepting safety pilot time anymore or are at least looking down on it. What is the attitude at Eagle with regards to safety pilot time, especially when you are just barely making the minimums?
thanks
A guy i work with once got in a fender bender with in a crew car and the person decided to sue the FBO as well as the guy i work with. the guy i work with ended up getting off without any lawsuits because he didn't have to sign anything when he borrowed the car, i think that was their main...
I haven't logged it at all, and at any rate it was a short flight and wouldn't do me much good anyways. The main reason I was asking is that it looks as though more opportunities will be available with the lear and at what point does it become worth logging? Even if i do end up going with my...
Point taken, I'm actually hoping to see if i can't eventually turn it into something more than just a trip every so often. The normal SIC was actually hired with pretty low hours just because he was friends with the guys at the company. The PIC said he was rather impressed with me, and that i...
actually, it was ice AND coffee :)
obviously different interviewers will view it differently, but would it not be possible that logging the time could help me in the interviewers eyes? Say they are flipping through my log book and see that I have 10 to 15 hours of accumulated Lear SIC time...
I wasn't used as a cheap way out. The crew offered to let me go as a somewhat of a reward. I work at an FBO where this crew and airplane frequent and I always make sure they get very well taken care off. The normal SIC still got his same salary, he just gave up a little flight time. So no I...
If you are looking at places in Oklahoma try the University of Oklahoma. Aviation department is good and getting even better and you can get a four year degree thats worth something. Meteorology would be a good one, and OU is about the best place to get that degree.

So I got to fly a Lear 60 today, my question is whether or not to log it. There is the possibility of getting further opportunities to fly it later on so I hate to not log what I could. I was reading the regs, I have some systems knowldege and i'm not afraid of dealing with those questions on...
i once made the mistake of sticking my head right into the jet exhaust, as in a matter of less than a foot from a running engine while i was unplugging a ground power unit from a lear after they started up with it. I'm still alive though...........
thats interesting, an archer i often fly sometimes (not always) has a popping sound when the flaps are applied on base. Somebody had told me that is just the flaps moving around in the tracks, i wonder if its something that should be looked at a little closer...
not necessarily, for example at university of oklahoma they have a bridge program with American Eagle that sends a select number students each year through the ground and sim training on the embraer. so for some you can get the advanced aircraft training at 600tt or less...
it all depends what you compare it to i suppose, i think its normal cruise speed is about 440 kts with its max being just under 500 kts.
also take into account my experience is coming from piston props, One time i hit 159 knot ground speed in a 172 and i thought my hair was on fire.....
