MESABA AIRLINES
May 18, 2006
Dear Colleague:
U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Gregory F. Kishel has denied the Company’s motion to
reject its collective bargaining agreements. It’s very important to note the judge states
that Mesaba’s core business assumptions, including the 19.4...
I just got back from a trip this morning... Morale is high but also reserved because it seems that mangement will refile the 1113(c) motion again, addressing the issues stated in the ruling...
If you have a rental, head up to Pipestone, MN. It's about a 45 min drive NE of SF... check out the Pipestone National Monument. I used to live there and it was always nice and a good way to kill a couple of hours in the process.
Doesn't the judge hold the final say in terms of the extension??? Especially if the mediators and the creditors committee don't show their support, in my opinion, the idea of an extention is nothing but a pipe dream...
The mediators have stated that they would not support and extention and the judge said in the last hearing, while waving his typed decision, that Thursday will be the day that it was read... So take it for what it's worth...
You'll get a phone call for a phone interview. After the phone interview, you'll be invited for a face-to-face interview. Check out aviationinterviews.com for the latest gouge.
Not necessarily. I'm not immediately familar with whats going on at AWAC. But the situation between NW and XJ is extremely fluid. A lot of faith can't be thrown towards some reserved tail numbers, yet you can't deny the possible implications of that move either.
And to make matters worse, XJ and 9E are considered off-line... So we are also fending for those same jumpseats as everyone else... We do have the option of writing a pass (that I'll do anytime to help other pilots out), but many have not paid the annual fee for the "privilage" of pass writing...
That's common place in DTW... They'll definitely have the 6000 feet and the radio will be keyed and they will be in the process of issuing the clearance while the departing traffic's nose wheel just lifts...
