You owe it to your head to try Lightspeeds. I sell all the popular brands and have tried them all including Bose. Most people find Lightspeeds both the most comfortable and the quietest. The 15XL retail for $339 and the 20XL go for $395. You can get them cheaper on the Web.
Has any one here spun a Seminole? Is it unrecoverable? I know a couple of people who have done full VMc rolls in them and they both said they lost 2,000 feet recovering.
I did my COM ME at ATP and training at
I have a student in the same situation. I've talked to 2 AMEs and both said that while the student is on meds he will never get a medical certificate. They said If he discontinues the meds then with the help and approval of his personal doctor he may apply after 90 days.
It's ironic...
I don't think you can get a 1st class physical at Dr Sun's office any longer. I could only get a 2nd class done there last month. Probably worth giving them a call any way, I have never heard of any one having a bad experience at that office. I have also heard good things about Dr Kovats.
The SR-22 is what an aircraft should be in the 21 st century. I can't imagine why any one would pay money for a Piper or Cessna when they can buy a Cirrus for the same money. I only have a couple of hours in them but I was totally impressed. The two that I flew had the PFD/MFD with traffic...
I feel qualified to toss in on this topic since I spend 5 hours a day in a plane and sell headsets on a daily basis.
BigD is correct, the most important factor is how they feel on your head.
That said, in that price range, I strongly recommend the Lightspeed 15XL or the Echelon ANR. You can...
A story I once heard....
One of PRO AV8R 's Flight Express predessors did have to make a forced landing in the glades. He was so worried about the gaters that he set his C-210 ablaze to keep them away.
It's a matter of personal risk tolerance. The only way to completely eliminate the dangers of flying is to not fly. If you do fly you have to accept (or ignore) the risks. One of the risks is that the engine could fail. This is a serious problem over land or water.
ATA out of business
Thats the Airline Training Academy and it closed its doors today.
They gave the students 15 minutes to get out and locked the doors. They admitted a new class of students just 2 weeks ago. These people paid 60,000 dollars for 2 weeks of groundschool. I really feel for...
As to the original question: There are significant differences between regions. In central Florida they have a code system that you are supposed to use to do multiple practice approaches. It short of works as long as you stay within Orlando approach, the moment you go to Tampa or Daytona...
Here is the deal with ATA. ATA suckered many people into believing that if they paid a LOT of money and did the Stage 1 and Stage 2 programs they then would be hired by an airline. Now nobody will hire these "graduates". ATA now wants these people to pay more money to become an instructor...
Spend more time at ATA getting a CFI with little chance of getting a job or do grunt work at ACA hoping to get on a list at least a year long. Or your friend could do Stage 3 and pay mega dollars for 250 hours of right seat time.
Such great choices at ATA
Actually, someone has been advertising in Trade a Plane for a CFI at French Valley (F70). If you are brave you might try Ray's Flying Club at Fullerton (FUL). If you are very brave, you might see if Air Desert Pacific at (POC) is hiring. Runway 3-7 at POC and RIR used to frequently advertise...
The preceding advertisement has been paid for by Comair! 172Driver must be a sales counselor because even the people who have gotten through the "program" would not describe it in such glowing terms. I’ll bet it’s Ron.
Let’s tell it the way it really is…..
If you are coming from outside, the...
