I think it is indeed a safety issue when you have people on an expected three hour flight and they are on the taxiway 9 hours later. Medications, nutritional needs and passenger anxities can not be poo-pooed away anymore. Just wait for it. If we keep dropping the ball like this people will... -

Some meaningless trivia but if I'm not mistaken, the term "SID" is now one of those defunct, gone by the wayside aviation terms. Its now a "Departure Procedure". Good topic though. You could expand it and do the airport identifier discussion too. Here's one. CVG Its Covington, Kentucky. -

I'd say the pilot group should EQUALLY take responsibility for this run up in EMOTIONS and EXPECTATIONS. Where did all this come from? Yes.. the leadership and compensation committee should have been more forthright, transparent and should have communicated better. But where is this MASS...- 8vATE

Your "friends" must have that "management is screwing us" mentality already? Wow... JetBlue is by no means perfect or paying the highest wages, but advice to "stay away" is pretty crazy. If you're at SWA, UPS, FDX.. sure stay away. If you're at AA and haven't been screwed over.. sure stay...- 8vATE

Oh goody, it's tax time.
No home mortgage interest deduction, no property tax deduction? Unless you have something else to get you over the standard deduction (doubtful that 2106 Expenses would do that), looks like a 1040EZ for you. But certainly don't take a stranger's word for gospel. -
Jet Blue A320 upgrade - I'm Curious
That's a common "flame bait" or "taunt" that guys throw around. They act like its a shock or something. Their logic is that with only the approx 200 or so A320's on the firm order now that with the 1600 pilots hired so far, those guys/gals will be the A320 Captain's for the future. uhhh... -

I listened to the conference call and believe we are already below 80 FTE employees... I think we are at 78. And there was no mention of an exact number of aircraft sales. I am hoping five would be on the high side. We'll just have to see how the fuel thing goes and the company's profitability. -

Read the fine print in an airline's contract of carriage. There is absolutely NO guarantee that you will arrive as scheduled. Or even on the airline you bought the ticket from. -

JB Computer systems I believe we are getting the upgraded Ver 2 of the Open Skies reservation computer system soon if not already. Independence had it. Employees can't even "list" for a flight as it is right now. There is no internal jumpseat reservation system also. Some upgrades are... -
