Thanks for your replies.
I called ICAO and talked with a person in licensing and regulations and he said - to his knowledge - the US and the Phillipines were the only countries that did not require the co-pilot to be typed. He went on to say that even if it is a US reg. A/C, both pilots need...
I posted this on the FARs board too. I am just wondering what your thoughts are.
As we know, the FARs state that when operating in a foriegn country we shall abide by the regulations of that country. According to ICAO, in any aircraft that requires a type rating, both pilots must be typed...
As we know, the FARs state that when operating in a foriegn country we shall abide by the regulations of that country. According to ICAO, in any aircraft that requires a type rating, both pilots must be typed. here are my questions.
1) do you operate with both pilots typed?
2) if not, do...

It probably was a GII-B.
The original GII had limited range (2500 miles or so) for such a large A/C. And of course the corporate people always want bigger, better, faster, and farther. The tip tanks were for more range (duh) very limited in production before the GIII came out.
If my memory...
I've flown Jimmy Buffett - I dont know why he didn't take his own plane but I took him and his family out to Marsh Harbour and picked them up a week later. Really nice people - just as you would expect.
Also -
the Moody Blues - nice but as G200 said the assistants are a little over bearing...
Fly Chicago,
It is too early in your flying career to start gaining weight.
I went from working line service in So. Florida full time to flying fulll time. My medical went from 175lbs to 205lbs in 6 months. My doc asked if any thing was wrong with me. It came from sitting on my a$$ and...
Actually Bobby,
I kinda thought everyone read all the boards - like me.
And I'm not at all surprised if people don't want the job because it is in the PHL area. It isn't the greatest place to live, especially if you are a die-hard Buccaneer fan like I am.
It is for a Hawker 700
As for how...
So, I posted the following on the charter board.

Ok if it is a non-profit enterprise (like most aviation enterprises) how is it they charge ppl to sit in the right seat?
Is the CP just putting the money in his pocket?
It is just wrong to charge for it. Who ever made this policy should be tarred and feathered. As a CP they have to understand...
Bobby??
You said
"You do not need a signoff to take the ATP written. You do have to show up at FSDO with your current First Class Medical and your logbooks to document that you've met the time requirements to obtain the slip of paper authorizing you to take the ATP written"
Are you saying you...
If you are typed in the aircraft and flying the aircraft you can log PIC. HOWEVER you can not log PIC if you are not 135 PIC qualified. Just Empty legs - PT91. My advice is if you feel your company is going down the tubes then get with your CP and find out what sort of deal you have with...
Why buy time?? You are an MEI - people should be paying you. I realize pilots have a tendency to want that "all important multi time", however, just keep flying and keep current and the multi time will come.
It is just WRONG for someone to charge someone else to sit in an airplane that is...
