"it's not Concessionary"???
Why would any Skywest pilot entertain a Concessionary contract from a profitable company, Skywest (not Inc, necessarily) has been profitable over the last decade. Other companies went bankrupt, shut down, are losing money, etc but Skywest has been and continues to...
Taking the Jumpseat so a family member can get a seat is a no brainer, and I'm a commuter. As far as the positive space stuff is concerned, yeah you are right.
Who is this clueless "analyst". Skywest stock was trading as low as $6 last summer and shot to $14 now, went as high as $16.
No mention of the 40 E175's ordered, the 60 more when the flying is a acounted for (AMR) and the 100 other options. Everyone knows the the MRJ's aren't likely to happen...
"Can't argue with his success"??? He drove his company to bankruptcy wiping out all common investor equity, how is that "success"? He was named one of the worst CEO's in America! He had his brokerage license revoked, and his China investment blew up in his face! You need to understand what the...

Not true, we tried an inhouse Union drive years ago and it failed worse than the ALPA drive, SkyWest pilots are apathetic at best. Let them keep their apathy, the ones who want to see a change from the status quo now have a fair oppurtunity to do so.
I think most companies already allow this, switching shifts and schedules with other pilots to accommodate everything from religious to personal obligations is quite common. If someone dosent trade with you then well...your hosed.
Midwest couldnt stay in business with a very loyal, hometown customer base that believed in it's "hometown" airline, what do you think those kind of comments will do to that base? There were actually many people, business travelers who were willing to pay more to fly Midwest out of support for...
An FAA medical is a requirement to have as a pre-requisite for any airline interview, along with a Commercial certificate (how many airlines pay for that?) it is the employee's job to maintain their qualification's they were hired with. I dont know of any airline that charges for its original...
