I Found the AGI a great tool as not only a prep to the CFI written, but i was able to teach ground school. Since my school sold the complex ac a week after i got my commerical, i decided why not? So instead of treading water i did something productive.
Our school is encouraging people to get...
First off congrats on the new certificate. At some point you're going to have to cut the cord and do what makes you happy (not your mom), and it made you sound like a momma's boy btw; However maybe its the fact that you mom doesn't know much about aviation and find its "scarry?" People tend to...

At 12 months thats only 36 after taxes (i just look at the take home because thats what i see). So i guess to sorta answer your question, im guessing top cfi's make 50-60 a year here. I'm just careful about my scheduling and make sure i don't get burned out, plus i love having a personal...
I instruct out of KFUL and average take home for me is around 3k per month after taxes (could work more but i still have school and another side gig). Some instructors there reach 40-50 with a packed student schedule. Most of us can average a 10-12 hour work day, and we just like everyone else...

Nope but i was at corona KAJO earlier in the year and this 152 pulled up and asked where he was; apparently he was supposed to go to Hemet airport. (his instructor was pissed when he was flown up in an archer from San Diego area to fly back with him).

From the beginning we set the gps on the ground direct for the home airport. That way the airplane becomes a "kite" with a imaginary string attatched to the airport. So if the student may become uncertain as to where they are simply direct enter enter and follow the pink line to the airport.

I totally agree here, can't go wrong with that decision. I also think it comes down to what the students goals are. If a student wants to buy an analog gauge airplane after getting their certificate, it makes no sense to train glass. If you rent ac at another school that has only...
I have had better luck spinning a 152 than a 172. With a 172 they are so stable, you litterally have to cross control the aircraft before you can spin it, and to recover just let go of the controls and it will bring it back to normal.
I've had more experience with the king DVD's and i have to agree they are a little hokey and corney with the humor, but they do a great job. If you're flying at a Cessna pilot center go with king because a cpc is made for the king kit. Ooh i remember those long dates with Martha King. LOL...
I'm pretty disappointed with the whole situation. After watching all the CNN interviews with Blakey and Carr, Blakey came across to me as shady, and one sided. From what i understand, there will be pay freezes for those already working and new hires are screwed. Doing such a hard and stressful...

I saw that too last night and was disappointed. Didn't you know we all belong to a secret society with our goal of destroying CAPTAIN PLANET.... lol WAJ
