Instead of voting in ALPA with just 51% of the pilot group with the most recent vote....
I think it will sail past at +85% (hopefully) now that "leadership" has decidely picked their poison and shown us how it will be.
Some of you ALPA worshipers put WAY too much emotion in to this argument...
Be more specific about what you are trying to do.
OAL ID 90 on JetBlue... it's all through MyIDTravel with etickets
OAL jumpseat list.. there is a number for that
Or is it more likely that a lot of the guys who have been here since getting furloughed or bent over by "legacy" carriers soon after 9/11 or during the USAirways debacle had some gratitude and motivation for trying to do a little "more" for fellow crewmembers and customers the first 5 years of...
I pay $80 a month..
Single no family...
Just don't get sick.
Yea.. it stinks.. but it's NOT $500 a month for everyone.
ALPA... the solution for EVERYTHING!
How about your reading skill...?
I said "arbitrated"...
My recommendation...?
Vote with your feet.
Or in house Union.
If ALPA can reorganize themselves in to something better, I would consider them again.
Oh yea... 12 years ago JetBlue with 10 airplanes drug the industry down to their horrible pay rates...
Reality...
9/11 and all the subsequent financial crises had more to do with that.
Quit with your revisionist history and ALPA kool aid.
Of all of the airlines out there JetBlue has...
Selective memory
Yea... people will quickly forget the CH11s, furloughs, housing bubble, oil spike and financial meltdown of the past ten years.
Don't even mention the despicable USAirways merger fiasco and their contract rates. Or the UAL shrinkage and poor pay.
Flip a switch now and all...
I believe people may be confusing the loss of all hydraulics on the Airbus with the loss of all flight control computers...
Two distinctly different scenarios.
50 Seaters..
Looking around the industry... letting someone fly 50 seaters or less is a minimal threat. 50 seaters and smaller are Dead on Arrival with current and probably higher fuel prices.
And it would take a LOT of aircraft to make 10% of the ASMs with 50 seaters. So all you guys...
3 engines...
Forget about how cool yokes are...
How about a something with big swept back wings, three engines, climbing and descending at .80... cruising as fast as you wanted (as loud as you could stand in the cockpit)... and a wing that turned itself in to a giant barn door.
Yea.. I'm...
Regrettfully, Airbus get's it.
A fly by wire aircraft with a full size yoke? It's a complete and utter joke.. a throw back to cables, pulleys and manual reversion. A yoke is there for leverage and maximum cable movement.
For all the great aircraft Boeing has made, they still aren't looking...
Straight from the COO today..
Some of the more involved heavy checks are coming in OVER double the initial estimated cost due to extra required work.
The love fest with Embraer is way over...
Jetblue, the "Launch" customer of the E190 with 100 orders and 100 options.
Now looking to limit...
Pro Con Rhetoric and Emotion
Avoiding the extremes on both sides of the Union argument and trying to find the "truth" is where I've tried to stay the past few years.
The burden of proof has always been on management to prove the "direct" relationship is better. Those that push ALPA for...
Boy...
You don't like it when someone calls you out for being such a hot shot know it all... guess I hit your "sensitive" nerve...
Good for me..
Yea... I see what's going on.... As Dave says... "what got us to where we are may not get us to where we want to be."
I don't want to vote...
They are going to deal off the bottom of the deck... about 20 too many Airbus's coming in the next 3-5 years. The 6 A320's + 4 E190s this year seem to be net growth. But the dialed back utilization we have had and the screwed up staffing model is fogging things up a bit. It appears that the...
There are more opportunities to have face to face time with the Executive Leadership of this airline than ANYWHERE I've ever heard of. Not that that is a solution to our issues, but it is part of the culture here.
I wasn't talking about DC-9 pay or 717 pay. You can go that route if you...
This company IS growing.... just not where YOU think it should... since you're so smart.
Go talk to Robin Hayes.... Look at the growth numbers in Boston and the Caribbean.
Or maybe you're too busy shooting your mouth off. And the right seat of your "commuter jet" E190 pays 90% of Airbus...
