Dam, that is twice in one month I agree with you. However, 90% of our pilots will spit out years and months if you ask them how much seniority they lost.Seniority is measured in relative percentage, not in years.
As Dan Katz and Jeff Freund have both argued at various points in their careers, a DOH only has value within one's particular airline. For example, a 1999 DOH at United has a much different value and career expectations than a 1999 DOH at Continental.
