Here's to Cowboys and TPA overnights!!! Whew!

Thought I'd give this one a bump since it's the first time in more than two years that I haven't seen a SWA-ATN thread on page 1. ;)

Its been nice. Let this thread die. Like Wave said.....lets all just move on. These threads are divisive. SWA guys are pissed....AAI guys are pissed. There have been many threads and nobody has changed their opinion. Just let it die. Time for American to take the spotlight.

Yup.

It seems to me that, as time goes on, pilots on both sides are seeing a little more of the other side's point of view.

Well, if you wanted something to talk about, the tentative first 6 months of fleet transition to SWA for next year is available. Just hit the email about 90 seconds ago...

As has been mentioned, the SWA F/A's approving their overwater flying will allow SWA to start picking up SJU, all SJU flights to be transferred to SWA by late Summer 2013, allowing the closure of the 737 MCO base (that's not in the email but it is what is prompting the MCO 737 base closure).

The first 8 CA and FO MCO 737 slots will be in January now instead of March. The remaining between July and Sep, depending when they want to finish the base downsizing. That bid will have to come out next month. A few CA's will be bypassing to ATL.

The rest will all be ATL slots with the last of the MKE closure in April.

I don't know how many airplanes will go to SWA next year with the SJU flying departure, probably 3 or 4 if the staffing remains consistent with what they pulled down this year.
