Food for thought that counters some of the crap on here. There is no way SWA can operate the AirTran routes without the AirTran employees. It would be illegal and they would get killed in court if they tried. You simply cannot buy a company and can all the employees at will.

You can if they go on strike or fail to negotiate in good faith.

A CEO has a duty to shareholders, not another employee groups misfits and malcontents.

I don't meant to say this applies to AT.

ALPA 101: Delay until you can't whine any more while trying to get your way. Even if terribly detrimental to your pilot group and to the utter dismay, ire and consternation of your future employer. Increase the exceedingly real chance of fragmentation at all costs. Then point fingers and further diminish the collective perception of the union while also tarnishing the reputation of airline pilots across the country. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ACT IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER OR LET INTEGRITY AND GOOD CHARACTER CLOUD YOUR JUDGMENT. Always suppress thoughts of being some of the luckiest clowns on the planet and continue to tell yourself "You deserve it".

The AirTran ALPA MEC has decided to delay (yet again...) their review of the Agreement in Principle that was AGREED to weeks ago. They have apparently delayed their little get together INDEFINITELY. No vote on the AIP/LOA is scheduled at this time. These guys are about as useful as a football bat...

You just changed my vote to a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
 
No jury, if this thing ends up in massive litigation, will rule against the side that is
asking for a fair arbitration.

Strait DOH, might be doable, with seat and base protection.

Arbitration, will most likely be closer to relative seniority.

It just doesn't seem reasonable to penalize the guys who made the choice,
and took the risk, to fly for a smaller, but faster growing airline.
 
It appears the chances of the Airtran crewmembers having a say in their future is diminishing by the day.

You are starting to sound like a used car salesman. Its a great deal, the deal is only available for another 5 minutes. Believe me, people are not looking at this because of the ISL. And if the protections are not ironclad this thing has no shot.

Let them get the language they agreed to in the AIP. If not it goes to arbitration.

Nor should a SWA FO be penalized either. Two way street brother. Of course we have been over this before.
