I see people using the term "she" on here from time to time as a perceived insult. Do you guys think your Mother or Wife or Sister or whatever are somehow inferior humans or something, I mean really, come up with some other kind of more original insult, like maybe Jackwagon or something. She, as an insult makes you sound pretty stupid (unless you are talking about my first wife)

I'm not referring at all to females being inferior. In fact, I can prove they are superior. All I'm saying is OYS is a female.

Everyone chill. This is going to be passed by both unions when it is said and done with. SWA might not have as many yea votes, but it will still pass.

AT will vote it in because they know that their career will be better in the long run.

SWA will vote it in because they will look it and say that sucks, but it is probably the best we can do even with such a disparity between contracts, companies, etc....

Again,
It will be approved by us AT guys..just remember this is the same pilot group that voted 89% on a contract I wouldn't feed to my mom's dog. Why the 89% vote yes? Answer...."because we are becoming SWA anyway." So again...this is the 10 AT guys on FI fighting this to arbitration. This thing will pass 89% again.

everyone go have a beer and enjoy the sunshine...this thing is over...happily.

But PCL_128 said that SWA had nothing to do with AAI getting a new contract. And he is always right!

Key words:
"I don't work for either company"

The haters have arrived- just wait a bit longer. I know, waiting sucks- but having loud opinions on rumors is beyond loser-mentality.
We've all had a chance to tell our NC our opinions. Now, we let go and see what they've come up with. And not rumors from the crowd that wants to kill the deal.

The 1%ers are entertaining- but this is our careers. Relax.

And haters, keep hatin' - it's a compliment

SWA will vote this in for sure. I bet 85%. AirTran guys.....Not so sure.

Hey, wavey, I'm no hater. I'm just trying to inject some reality and 3rd party observations here.

I agree. If I was an Airtran F/O I would be pissed beyond belief and it would be a big fat no. Arbitration is probably a good way to go.

Very kind of you and the other Guadalupe Holdings' Cheerleaders to be looking out for our FOs. Don't worry, it will pass.

I wouldn't vote for it if I was an F/O over there. Not in a million years. You are pretty much stapling the bottom half to an 8000 deep list, by protecting another part of your list. I would be disgusted if I was an AAI F/O and demand something better.

If it looks like a duck, acts like a duck, quacks like a duck; It's a duck.
Keep quacking if you want though. Like I said, it's a compliment.
In all fairness though, it's very hard to understand swa from the outside.

I'm curious, what would be an acceptable loss in seniority then? With all the other improvements that are being obtained you have to give a little somewhere. I've seen this question asked numerous times without one answer. Not trying to start a flame or fight but an honest question, what is an acceptable loss in seniority?

SLC

Everyone would have a different answer to that. How much would you give up for the same increases? For a suitable fee I would give up my number and walk ..... of course it would need a lot of zeros on the end of it! ;)

Again, I'm no hater. However, the arrogance exhibited here by LRJ and some other SWA individuals is astounding. That's what I mean by the "fighter pilot mentality."

United pilots acted like that once upon a time.

SWA is king of the hill for now. For now....

You tranies should wait for a "fair" deal like US Airways, Frontier, Pinncolaba got. You will love that outcome. Dolts

If you can't trust your MEC to speak for you, vote it down, and have a left-wing government mediator speak for you...or pass it, and be a copilot for the rest of your career.

Bob, unless you have less than 10 years left, you wont be a co-pilot the rest of your career. Relax, and STOP stirring the pot.

Heres an idea! If your only concern is what seat you sit in and how long it takes you to get there, quit and go get on with a commuter or corporate job where you can rapidly advance to the left seat and campout there for the remainder of your career! Nobody is forced to work at SWA! It is a choice which we all control.

It seems almost pointless to post anything on this topic, but I felt the need to say something, at least. I see no reason to be completely ugly and unprofessional to each other even when the official details come out and it is not what you want or expected. Doing so only adds to the stress and tension of this whole process that was initially played way up as "One Luv" and happy to have the AT crew members aboard. This acquisition was a decision at the corporate level and above the pay grade of anyone on this forum, most likely. It is shocking to see the level to which some pilots on both sides of the fence have lowered themselves to with the comments made. Someday you might have to share a cockpit with each other.

We all want the best for ourselves, our families, and our companies. Not every person is going to get what he or she wants out of this deal; seniority will be lost, upgrades delayed, bases changed, etc. We need to realize this and stop the hostile, negative vibes. Wait for the official SLI to come out and then take a good hard look at it, using your brain and not your emotions or ego. Think about what it is like for the pilots in the other group. Let's get this SLI done in a fair manner and move towards our common goals; both sides are on the verge of much bigger and better things with plenty of the rewards to go around in the future.

I certainly hope that there are more of you out there that feel this way. I am sure there are. Take the time to voice your opinion here.

Cheers to the future.

Best Post around here in several weeks!!!!!

Ever feel like you read something twice?

Then I have done what I set out to do.
It is easy to sit back and flame others, but being constructive and friendly towards one another is just as easy if you have the right frame of mind.

Believe me when I tell you, SWA and it's pilots couldn't be less comparable with united and their pilots. A whole different management, culture within our group, culture companywide, truly, an entirely different experience.

But good try.

You probe your hater mode with the "...for now."
Of course, but I'll bet you a Benjamin we'll be king for a while. A long, long while.

Hope so. Your "fighter pilot" egos couldn't stand any less. BTW, I just saw the list of city pairs the "king" is pulling out of.

I guess the "king" just couldn't compete.
