Additionally, this playground debate about whether RAH scabbed is downright disgusting when our Spirit brothers are mere hours from walking the line for real. May they prevail, cue up the Johnny Cash.

True story. However, I find is hilarious to the point of vomiting on my keyboard that the YX pilots demand that RAH pilots should have conducted an illegal work action to suit YX pilots' desires when the YX pilots weren't remotely close to being willing to do the same to save their own skins.

I think we would have lowered the bar for the rest of the industry, just like you have...

Do you think 190's would have magically appeared on the ramp after signing off to those pay rates? Aside from some fairy miracling airplanes there YX had no means for purchasing a new fleet.
You saw the company was going under in 2007 before RAH showed up and jumped ship then. Maybe you should have stayed on, there was a chance the magic fairy thing may have worked.

Does the holy RAH pilot group have balls to stand up to their management now or in the future? Or do they just roll over as they have done and continue to bring the industry down to poverty pay scales?

You mean like the Midwest group did? Or like the Us Airways group did? Or all the other mainline airline groups that have given up so much in airline employment history? And, exactly, how has the RAH group "rolled over"? You, obviously, do not know the process to get from a to b with the RLA. Why don't you share some collective and productive thoughts instead of bashing people on here? People you don't know. People that work hard everyday. People that are wiling to strike if we don't improve things for our industry. Realize that the enemy here is the management. Period. And they love to see people like you that do not understand the system try and create havoc from within the ranks. Kinda like a placed disease. We ARE collective at RAH. And we WILL be improving our contract, as we are in negotiations right now. If we decide to strike, please come by and introduce yourself on the line with your FI screen name.

Now, please tell us. What airline is it that you work for?

You seem to have quite a thing for fairies. Hmm...

If you have some inside information that Midwest management was negotiating in bad faith, that information would have been helpful during the arbitration attempting to resolve this a year ago. Then again maybe you're just talking out your a$$ like the rest of the RAH clan...

Do you even know who RAH bought Midwest from? I'm guessing no, so I'll tell you. TPG was the majority owner and it was their plan to do the fleet change. Since they are a private equity group with access to multiple billions of dollars, I'm guessing they could have bought some E190s if they REALLY wanted to. You see, it was TPG that wanted us to take the huge paycuts and if we'd only do that, then they would spend the money for the jets. The leverage they were using against us was you (hopefully you've learned that by now). So yes, I do think TPG would have bought the jets if the pilots had accepted regional payrates.

Do you know what really happened to your fairytale company? . . You are just the rest of the folks here. . . just assuming what really happened behind the doors.

You are like your fellow scabs at Falcon Air! . . . Nothing to blame but yourselves. . working for a scab airline! . .

Use crack much? We're going to need a line by line translation of that gibberish please.

I don't think you understand what Texas Pacific Group really does. They don't build up companies, they take them down. They buy them, raid the coffers, upload any profits as "consulting fees" bleed them out and finally sell off the carcuss. That is their standard playbook, exactly what happened. No pilot payrates would have changed that.

Like they did with Continental?

The scabs at Falcon were not Midwest. The CA is retired Delta. The FO has no prior airline experience.

The Midwest guys were instrumental in getting the scab operation shut down. It's discussed in detail on APC.

The 99% at Falcon need to be commended 'cause they are REALLY hanging it out there. Some of them will probably be fired with no recourse. (unlike another pilot group that continually used the " we're just doing what were told" excuse)

Funny stuff. I don't recall YX striking though so there's no comparison.

I hate to see a thread like this die so I thought I'd point out that according to this article "Midwest" Airlines has one of the worst safety records in the industry. I don't remember that ever being an issue when we were flying 717s and MD80s....

I can't wait for the volley of excuses from you Republic apologists - so let's hear it! What are you people doing out there?!

The Daily Beast..... If you actually bothered to read the source sited, it's an editorial. The author compares safety data from 2003 to 2008 and lists your Midwest as a regional. How many Rah planes were flying in your colors at that time? Your an idiot.

If YOU read the article you'll see that he evenly weighted 2008 (in which RAH was flying a lot of Midwest's flights) and compared it to the 5-year period preceding it to "reward those who have stepped up their game." Evidently Midwest's record was getting worse...

I'm always surprised at how much Mad Dog 20/20 those goverment checks will buy. I think the grape has the highest alcohol content. I'm sure the Daily Beast has a graph on it. Moron.

I don't have a government job so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about...

Oh wait, I get it, you're implying that I'm in the unemployment line... I can assure you I've never received a government check for unemployment or anything else (except the occasional tax refund when I accidently overpay my taxes) so you needn't worry your little head about me. I know of a damn lot of people in this industry that haven't been as fortunate as me (or you) and I can empathize those people. For you to talk down on someone who may be down on their luck and in need of assistance is completely classless.

Regardless of your and my disagreements that type of behavior is over the line. You sir, are a ******************************bag and a disgrace. Welcome to my ignore list.

You are a MORON and an IDIOT! . . You got what you deserve! HAHA

You and your jerk off buddies crossed the line with the constant mudslinging against our pilot group. Any sympathy I had was eroded away long ago. I'm glad you have found work, because we don't want you here.

The mudslinging is warranted. You along with your cohorts sit on your hands and seem proud to be led by a group of criminals. Grow a spine and challenge these fools.

I'm liking losing then. Better paying job that is more secure than any airline gig. My family thinks I'm a loser also because I'm home every night plus I provide awesome health care for them and a real retirement. If it's alright with you I'll just keep on being a loser. You can take your chances with the BB and the hope that you can get a better contract.

No it is not warranted. Same tired old song and dance about how we should walk off our jobs because collectively your pilot group couldn't put together a single complete set of testicals and do it yourselves.

Borg trying to wave around this MCI evacuation as proof we are unsafe and inept. No incidents ever happened with the MD 80s and 717's says he. Given the info the crew had at the time my hat is off to them for a job well done. If you think differently call the capt. he is a former YX guy now in our training department getting his 100hrs of line experience.
