You'll probably find out when you report for work.... pilots and other employees are always the last to know when their company goes out of business.

Not going to hapen

Sorry to burst your bubble but there is virtually no chance of a ch 7 for Mesa. They just filed a motion to affirm Delta's contract ( and no Delta doesn't get a vote) they will also hear the Delta lawsuit in BK court now.

All of the existing contracts are profitable and Hawaii is now making money. This is a very simple process, reject the airplanes nobody wants, continue to lead the industry in operating performance, and over the next 3-5 years extend the United and Airways contracts for longer terms.

Mesa is here to stay.

Wrong. It's a motion to force Delta to assume to contract or reject it, guess what Delta is going to do...

Delta: On a case-by-case basis, bankruptcy code allows for the assumption (affirmation and acceptance) or rejection (termination and surrender) of executory contracts prior to submission of a reorganization plan . This move makes it possible to force the issue out of the distict court into an assumption, rejection or settlement of the contract.

Aircraft leases: Raytheon files objection to Mesa's motion to abandon the 20 Beechcraft 1900D's after discovering their unairworthy condition. Raytheon previously seemed resigned to take back the aircraft until finding that the aircraft have been cannibalized of engines, etc. and improperly prepared for long term storage

Check out what Mesa did to those 1900:

You have no idea what you are talking about. Delta has no options here. The Debtor (Mesa) get's to decide what contracts it affirms and guess what the judge is going to do.

With regard to Raytheon, that is just normal delay tactics. The judge will find the aircraft, the paperwork, and airworthiness to be perfectly fine. What do you think will happen? Force Mesa to continue to pay leases?

Sorry you are an idiot.

Olympus is correct!!

Ughhhh

I'm sorry....I think i just vomited in my mouth a little bit.

This was all I had to read of your post to know that it was flamebait but I'll bite anyway.

You've really gone off the deep end if you think Mesa has industry leading operating performance. Why do you think Delta wants to terminate their contract??? And you're calling Olympus an idiot???

I have no ill will toward the Mesa pilot group (they're just trying to earn a living like everyone else) but JO and his cronies need to find a different line of work and quit dragging the industry down, so here's to hoping Mesa goes Chapter 7, and soon!

Wait, how can you call this guy an idiot?

You may disagree with him, you may think that his interpretation of information is unsound, but to call him an idiot is just unfounded. He forms opinions based on facts, that makes him no more of an idiot than you or me.

Resorting to personal insults versus arguing facts and their interpretations actually makes your opinions less valid to those of us who know how to read.

Sorry you are an idiot.

I'll try again, Mesa is forcing Delta to make a choice cancel or modify its contract so they can take that into account in their reorganization plan.
That what Mesa's motion is. Smart move from Mesa if Delta is not going to renew the contract pass it's expiration date they want to know now so they can reject those leases. If they did not and Delta did not renew the contract in 2012 when Mesa is out of chap 11, they are back at square one, 22 leases seating around and costing money.
Either way those 22 ERJ are gone.

With the engines missing? OK whatever you say.
