Sorry, I thought the thread was Air Tran to start service to Kanye West, which I thought wow, you're really just feeding his ego; but then I looked at the thread again.

Sorry for the interruption.

I spent a couple of minutes trying to determine what point you were attempting to make other than just to insult some anonymous internet poster. Still don't get it. Are you one of the scabs and retired management a$$ kissers in the FL training department? I have personal experience with those bozos (there are still a few good guys, but not many), which one are you? A good flush is exactly what is needed over there (which, if AP hadn't caved prior to the 2007 furloughs is exactly what would have happened), unfortunately gt1900 sounds like he's auditioning for one of their jobs.

I can only speculate as to the size of YOUR brain, since the little profile thingee next to my post lists BBJ and G4 Captain as current position. I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to what "airline" I work for.
No and no, and it is bigger than your 'little profile thingee' and the barbie jets. gt1900 doesn't seem like he has the experience to teach at Trannie. I am sure they are looking little profile thingee pilots, so good luck. Yeh, that's it.

It must be that you're misspelling your forum name and it's supposed to Adriatic Pilot, because English doesn't appear to be your first language. I have absolutely no idea what point you're trying to get across. Really.

Let's see if I can get this thread back on track.

Based on responses in this thread and several others relating to AirTran in the recent past, Ty Webb was attempting to rub $hit in gt1900's face over his apparent gung-ho, complete-the-mission-at-all-cost attitude. gt1900 got up in Ty's grill about how he must be an enormous pu$$y since he's concerned about normal airline ops into a 4800ft runway that frequently sees rain and strong cross/tailwinds. I reached the limit of my silent tolerance and called him out on one of his goofy responses. After several back-and-forth's involving an escalating level of animosity, gt1900 called Ty an idiot and Ty called gt1900 a nutless wonder. BoilerUP commented that this thread had gone "full retard", a humorous reference to the movie Tropic Thunder, which amused me to the point that I responded with the Robert Downey jr line about never going full retard.

Following a typically droll and inflammatory post by instructordude, several cluelessly serious responses to his obvious trolling and a crack by Ty about his lack of judgment, I commented that gt1900's intentions for a future at AirTran could lie in the notably miserable, scab-ridden AirTran training department.

You, for some reason, took offense at the nature of our discourse and made an unintelligible jibe at the size of my brain and my place of employment. If your ultimate intention is to comment effectively on threads-in-progress, you are going to have to respond in a manner that allows others in the aviation community to have some freaking idea what you mean. If, however, you have the goal of becoming a tournament-level FI troll like instructordude, Tanker Clown, or the legendary jimborealgoodpilot you need to try harder. Search posts by Frank Lorenzo. He's the best. You have a long way to go.

Anyhoo. To contribute, I think AirTran's entry to the EYW market is good, but the pilot group and ALPA Safety need to keep an eye on the operation and possibly recommend that it be a special airport. Not to say that FO's shouldn't be able to land there, but there should be some kind of special emphasis during recurrent training on the unique demands of the airport.

Very well said!, but you brought up an interesting point more important than short runways and two pilots throwing doodoo at each other like a couple of rhesus monkeys; that is, where is jimborealgoodpilot?!?!?

And THAT, ladies and germs, pretty much sums it up. Nicely done . . . .

Hmmm, somewhere, there are a couple of rhesus monkeys scratching their heads, and wondering if they should be offended; and Jimborealgoodpilot is laughing at them, and throwing handfuls of rubber monkey feces at them, tryin' to get the party started. ;)

I've been waiting for a rookie to be mystified by the word 'adiabatic' and let it zing above her head. You win! Let me know when you've caught up with the English language. Adriatic-LOL!

Ya gotta shorten that approach brief-ya lost us after the 3rd paragraph, well, actually the 3rd word. C'mon, co, we don't enter holding, just to do the brief. See ya tomorrow or the next. Duh!

Adiabatic, I get it, it means you don't do any work?
Nah, just fly. One of the higher ups in the training dept over at Trannie is the best F-4 flight lead I ever saw, so I don't put much credence in the other guy's words about their training. Sounds like he probably has a hard time passing checkrides and blames them.
