My opinion is ....

Compass pilots should be Compass pilots, so Delta pilots at Compass will remain Delta pilots. It also means the Delta fleet would grow by 36 airplanes and provide a foot hold in taking back some of the Section 1 provisions which got taken during bankruptcy.

Alright FINS, good point. It would have been a more feasible flow-down for many if the pay rates would have reflected longevity. I am trying to figure out how Delta pilots that end up on the bottom half of the Compass list are going to make it worth their time to show up for work 18 days a month for 20k/year. That was NWA MEC's doing.

I think this might be just the beginning of several other airline announcements for Fall cuts, mine included. Before we all go throwing bombs at pilots of competing airlines, let's take a deep breath, remember why we all got into this business, and realize that any pilots out of jobs at any airline is bad for all of us. I have a lot of Delta pilot friends. I hope any cuts are short lived and that a nice early out package will take care of the staffing needs through attrition.

Clearly understood. The very least we could do for them is to let them wear their Delta uniforms while flying Delta passengers.

Last furlough we had guys flying at ASA who left $115 an hour to fly for $18.35 with the same Delta passengers in the back of the airplane. I hope we learned something.

So why represent Compass at all. Am I out to lunch or should the DL ALPA just represent Delta pilots?

Well as of my last pay stub I have given the DAL MEC over 400 dollars. That money could be used for my savings or staring our own MEC.

If it comes down to layoffs, and the flowdown is offered, I dont see many taking it even more so if you have to commute!!!!. I wouldnt be surprised if the DAL mgt feels the same way. I dont think mgt is to worried or threaten about the costs that MAY occur if furloughs happen and they have to flow down some DAL/NWA pilots to Compass. They only have to flow down 20 a month at a time, so if they 360 pilots, what compass roughly has now, that would take 1 1/2 years to accomplish if not more.

That's O.K. The Mexican gimp you keep in the basement will lick your taint properly when you learn to say "clockwise" in spanish.... You will be in a much better mood by then, Gen!
That mexican gimp you refer to, is one of your fathers!
Easy kid. You should be nicer to your family. Especially since you're living off that McDonalds pay!

The day I see a 'Delta south' guy flying a Compass jet, I will have to take myself off the trip I will be laughing so hard...

Yours truly,
North Guy...

Which is what might happen to you coming up here thanks to bad hedges. Just wait until you merge with United, and you will see what type of losses occur during mergers.

Bye Bye--General Lee

You are the biggest MORON in the history of the planet! You were just crowing about all the money megers SAVE!!!!!!

-Now you think mergers are all about losing Billions (which you seem to be very adept at.)

-Which is it, Gen? What the hell happened to all the "synergies" you were touting? Did I not very specifically identify such "synergies" as complete bullsheit?????

-Ba-Ba-Ba-Billions!
-FOOL!
