For what pay rate? Please tell me it's not the same as the 170/175

Are the first officers paid the same as a 37-seat 135 first officer ($37/hour max)? Do the captains make less than the Midwest first officers still on property ($101/hour)? If the answer to both questions is yes, then f*ck you guys. The same Republic pilots that hated Skybus are now even more disgraceful. Yes, I used to work for Republic and am now more ashamed than ever. No, I never flew anything with more than 50 seats at Republic for the short time I worked there.

Would you rather:

Fly for GoJets

or

Fly for Republic in the E190.

Go Jets. Hands down. Both companies are there to get around scope. Republic is replacing mainline-paying jobs with regional-paying jobs while Go Jets is replacing regional-paying jobs with regional-paying jobs.

What about all those United 737 retirements, and go jets ordering more CRJs?

Really, did I just read that right? You would rather go fly for Ho-Jets, thats a big indicator into your failure with Republic.

Failure with Republic? What failure? I never failed a check-ride, never received a violation, and I voluntarily left with a clean record less than two years after I upgraded to work for what is now the largest airline in the world. As much as you don't want to believe it, my colleagues (legacy pilots) have more respect for Go Jets than Republic (neither one gets much respect). They are both teamsters, but Republic is a bigger threat. I would personally never work for either one again. When I started at Chautauqua, the largest plane we flew was an EMB-145. When I left, the largest plane I had ever flown was an EMB-145.

Soon Republic will just buy whatever is left of Midwest and operate the whole airline as a subsidiary with E-190s.
