I only got to about page 4 of 8 of the story. But I found it condescending. It took quite a few cheap shots at the pilots and private aviation. I think he misunderstood the analogy of the Devil at work all together.

i heard the legacy crew were found quilty of some sort of neglagence and that if they leave the us can be deported to brasil for prosecution (jail time) is this true??????

Has it been determined where on the 737 that the Wing tip and Horizontal tip of the Legecy made contact with the Boeing.

Seems like little damage on one to destory the other.

The point of impact is illustrated on page 27 of the English version of the midair collision final report.

The top of the B737's left winglet impacted the left tip of the horizontal stabilizer on the Legacy. The middle of the B737 wing impacted roughly the middle of the Legacys winglet.

I believe the Legacy's LEFT winglet cut the center or outboard center of the 737's LEFT wing from underneath.

The winglet "knifed" the Boeing from underneath which casued the 737's LEFT wing to bend upwards and detach, spiraling around the fuselage and impacting the 737's tail.

I reread your post and I think you did mention the Legacy's winglet. I seem to have just been aware of the Legacy's cut more than what the 737 did to the Legacy.

The plane ain't disposable. (And if you listen to the CVR the Legacy is actually quieter than the 737--so much for all that :uzi: "Whistling" BULLSH*T.)

Doesn't change the fact that a lot of people are dead for no good reason.

Two of my friends were on that plane in the back. One (a *GREAT* guy) is talking on the CVR through the J/S headset around 10 : 00. Wow. That's chilling.

I'm never gonna' sleep the same again at night after hearing that 737 tape.

This was a professional response to a desperate situation. The guys on the Legacy acquitted themselves well. The 737 crew did also. As well did the crew relaying messages for the EMB gang.

This is what aviators should do.

I'm proud of all involved... Nobody did it wrong that I can see... What a tragedy but everyone did their best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I keep hearing that anguished and desperate cry by one of the 737 pilots just before the tape ended... Absolutely blood curdling...
