Colgan Pilot if you don't want ALPA but want a union then write in Teamsters. Or if you plainly don't want ALPA write in Teamsters. Support for Teamsters is still looking strong and has continued to grow in these final days leading up to the election. We have a choice this time.
Also thank you current ALPA members for all the free food, your dues have paid off !!!!! We appreciate it, but you can't buy my vote !!!!!

Commencing on Monday, November 24, 2008, you will have the opportunity to positively affect your wages, benefits and working conditions within your airline—you will have the opportunity to vote for labor union representation. Although the only named union on the call-in/internet ballot is ALPA, you have the chance to vote for another union and we would encourage you to vote for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The following are instructions on how to vote for Teamsters Local 747:
1) Call 1.877.662.8683 with your voting instructions in-hand.
2) Enter your Verification Identification Number (VIN) and Personal Identification Number (PIN).
3) You will then hear prompts to cast your vote—be sure to wait until you hear “Any Other Organization or Individual.”
4) Then clearly say,“International Brotherhood of Teamsters.”
5) Once you have voted, you will hear “Your vote has been recorded.”

2) Enter your Verification Identification Number (VIN) and Personal Identification Number (PIN).
3) The Colgan Air ballot will appear on your computer screen
4) Select “Any Other Organization or Individual.”
5) Type “International Brotherhood of Teamsters.”
6) After clicking “Cast Vote,” a “Vote Selection Confirmation” screen will appear. Confirm that you selected the appropriate box and typed International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
7) If you need to alter your choice, click “Change Selection” and it will take you back to the previous screen. To confirm your vote, click “OK.”
8) Once you have voted, you will see “Your vote was successfully registered.”
Whether you vote for Teamsters or ALPA, it is important for Colgan pilots to vote a union onto the property during this election. Remember, the voting period is from November 24, 2008 until December 17, 2008 (ending at 2 p.m. ET).
