I respectfully disagree. The current >60's knew the rules when they signed up (retire @ 60), but when their time came, they convinced Prater to extend it to 65. I'm not saying that they 'owe me' a career, but they shouldn't hide behind the legislation. They wanted more and Prater/Congress capitulated.

My guess is a few Early Out's, quite a few LOA's (50) and 40 furloughs. I'm in the bottom 75. ANC here I come...

If 20-30 letters go out on October 1, then I expect there to be more to come November 1. Furloughing only 20-30 pilots would be just plain stupid.

MEC and management have not yet seriously taken steps to mitigate furloughs. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the early out applications and how many of them actually leave.

It will be interesting to see if they actually send out the letters on that date. They have not had a meeting with the union to discuss reduction of block lines as required by the contract. Sec 23.A.1

Hey Green-Yes, the MEC and management have met several times to discuss section 23. They shared this in the Negiotators Notepad but they are not close to an agreement. Management can send out letters stating the intent to furlough on the 1st, and still work out a mitigation plan. This all needs to be done by the posting of the Novemeber bids. The MEC still hasn't been given an official furlough number.

Forgot to add lines numbers will go down in SEA and stay the same in ANC. Average line will be about 77hrs. That seems to be where the Company is going to go down to since it keeps the lowest line above 75.
