USAPA sues some America West Pilots

Parker doesn't have to do sh!t with UCRAPA. He's perfectly happy with those crybabies working under LOA 93 and fighting us.

No Holiday in express for me, UAL doesn't go that fancy for crews, we are to broke. Time will tell what happens. Parker merged these two airlines for a reason so to assume he is "happy" to keep things the way they are is probably not correct.
 
Yes, we are impostors. We are actually Gulfstream B-1900 drivers. PFT_128 use to swing gear for me til he washed out. PFT_128 could not land the B-1900, so he was not accepted for employment after his training contract of 30000.- expired. He weights over 250 lbs. and is 5ft 6 inches. He loves cuban sandwiches and diet coke.

lets see, I proposed solutions that the East and West(according to your claims) could live with, and you retort with that.
A. You are being less than honest about the West desire for East positions.
B. you just want to cash that lottery ticket, to heck with everything and everybody else.
Nic is just as unfair to the East as doh without fences is to the West.
Fences would preserve both East and West "career expectations" as I outlined. Clearly you are not interested in anything fair that could move this along.
So again who is trying to steal who's job?

We've just been informed that the named plaintiffs has risen to (I believe) 18, with 1-100 John Doe's listed as additional plaintiffs.

I was asked to forward the following is information regarding a trust that has been set up for the separately named LCC pilots being sued by USAPA:

AN URGENT APPEAL TO ALL AMERICA WEST PILOTS


As you know by now, the US Airline Pilots Association (“USAPA”) has filed a 49 page lawsuit against 16 former America West pilots who are now employed by US Airways in the United States District Court, Western District of North Carolina (Charlotte Division) claiming hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages. Other pilots have been identified in the lawsuit but have not been named as defendants.

USAPA intends to sue still other pilots. The lawsuit also refers to 100 John Does who also may be named as defendants. USAPA has pledged to take actions to change the seniority list produced by the Nicolau Panel and accepted by the Company to the detriment of former America West pilots.

As one of the named defendants targeted by USAPA, I have had to organize the financial defense of those not represented by AWAPPA.

Briefly, I was an Air Force pilot, Eastern Airlines pilot, and am currently a line Airbus captain. I have contributed hundreds of hours of my personal time, serving my Eastern and America West brothers and sisters on various committees and writing numerous reports and editorials. As a military and Eastern pilot, I learned to appreciate true professionalism, dedication, and commitment to each other. I suffered
through a devastating nine month strike “walking the line” at Eastern.

While everyone else sees the injustice of what is going on, we must defend ourselves! There ARE legitimate reasons why AWAPPA cannot represent us at this time. Therefore, we, the individual defendants must establish our own defense team and the cost may be high financially. The ten of us, “The Cactus 10”, who are not on the AWAPPA Board of Directors need your help! I have organized our legal defense with a highly regarded law firm in Phoenix and have
established a legitimate and accountable Trust Fund.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL AWA PILOTS MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REDUCE THEIR RISK TO ANY FUTHER CLAIMS!

Resources are limited and we must conserve manpower and monies necessary to defend those currently listed and those that will be added. Should anyone else be served or contacted by USAPA’S legal department, immediately contact me and our lead attorney, Lat Celmins (of Margrave & Celmins PC, 480-994-2000).

Individual contributions of $100 or greater are encouraged to help the pilots defend themselves. Contributions can be sent to: AWA Pilots Legal Expense Trust.
