Our offer kept everyone within .05% of where they are at currently, which is a fact, and fair when blending like sized airlines (ours is larger in reality).
Nice spin Pvt. Lee, but in reality, the ratio the DAL team offered would have put several hundered NWA guys at the bottom.

This merger will not happen. No way, no how. This merger is going to happen and furlough protection is what we should be fighting for...
When the CEO and President of Delta cancel their first trip from Atlanta to China with the Governor and city delegates to pursue talks with Northwest, it is a good indicator that an announcement may be just around the corner. Stay tuned! With fuel over $100 dollars a barrel and Aloha shutting down passenger operations, the executives will have everything they need to sell to the regulators. This merger will not happen. No way, no how.
Revisionist History RobertE. We were told by our MEC, in writing, that while the SLI was still being actively negotiated, your management indicated that they would seek to renegotiate the economic package and no furlough provisions previously agreed to due to the changing economic picture.A lot of people should be, thanks to your Merger Committee Chair with an agenda. The prior deal will look like the lottery after we are done now. You can't have your cake and eat it too, and that greenbook guy should take the heat from any NWA pilot who could get furloughed. A No Furlough clause was part of the last deal. Let's see if it is for this next one.
Bye Bye--General Lee
Perhaps you could provide some details of your own to back that statement up. C'mon, give us some details...
I think it's pretty clear to everyone that the NWA side was too aggressive/confrontational from the start. How many people did you have involved in the initial discussions? 15 people vs. 3 from Delta? Looks like your lead negotiator from Republic dropped the ball on this one... If I were a junior NWA pilot right now I would be pi$$ed - just think about the potential increased pay and enhanced QOL someone else just busted for me... Not good. At least the senior 747-400 and A330 pilots should end up fine.

You got a problem with any future deal not having a no furlough clause? Take it up with your buddy Dick Anderson. He's the one that pulled it off the table even before the outcome of the last attempt was known. But you know that and have known it for a few weeks.
