Usually the corporations are the only ones facing litigation in this situation.
The lesson doesn't seem to be registering.

PLAYED A PART in the accident...more like CAUSED the accident
By the government's definition--annual revenue over $1 billion--it is indeed a major airline.
I'm not bashing regional pilots, I'm bashing the idiots on the regionals board for attacking this copilot. There is a difference. Then I guess the regionals pilots PCL is bashing are actually major pilots too?
If any of you had the slightest idea what causes accidents, and how scary it truly is, you would keep your little inexperienced asses shut instead of crapping all over a fellow pilot.
I wouldn't want to share a cockpit with ANY of you.
******************** YOU!
Let's see....
Both engines should have been secured prior to touchdown. This is not only for the safety of the passengers, but to reduce damge to the aircraft.
and,
The landing was made with poor technique, allowing the aircraft to contact the runway extremely hard. Much harder than should be considered for an unsafe gear situation.
I hate to say it myself, but it was a botched job. That aircraft could have been landed on the centerline with minimal damage. Instead, it took a hard right after an uncontrolled touchdown and departed the runway.
They did a horrible job with that landing. Very unprofessional, very bad airmenship.
Say what you want. The flying pilot slammed it in and never secured the engines. No respect for the safety of the passengers.
Shame on you SAS pilots.

So why didn't you take it up with your company's safety committee or the FAA? Telling everyone now isn't going to do a whole lot of good.virtually every time before the crash, I remember saying "you know, this place is an accident waiting to happen."
This post needs to be shut down. There is no respect. All airlines have made a mistake. Southwest could have killed thousands with their latest cracks. Those are the mistakes that should never happened. I remember a certain regional that went up to FL410 to have a little fun. That could have killed thousands depending on where they ended up. NOW those kind of accidents have no excuse.
