. ALPA doesn't work when it has so many different interests in mind and dealing with a broken system of seniority that was created by the PILOT'S so many years ago. That's all been said here a million times already though.

That is the point!!

It is what it is... so we can compete or find common ground and work together! That is what the SKYW campaign was all about!!

so SkyWest pilots have no ethics? Im just trying to understand..

I don't know... do they? can you provide a copy?

our QOL is better than most that is evident.. I think you are referring to mesa guys who get called at the end of a trip to be reassigned.. I havent heard of that happening here- not saying it hasnt... but I know it happens at mesa... arent they represented by your so called "Professional organization"?

So is DAL, CAL, UAL, NWA, FEDEX, etc... you know...carriers that most of your pilots want to work at....

ALPA cannot secure mainline pay, workrules and schedules.

Only a unified pilot group can do that.

Yep, thank god for all those unified pilot groups at United, American, Delta, Northwest, Continental, and USAir who held the line on wages and benefits....oh wait...never mind

The skywest guys each voted in their own best interest. That's all you can reasonably expect from anyone.

It seems as though a non-union Skywest is more of a threat to ALPA than it is to the Skywest pilots

If you choose to live in a jungle...expect no rules!!

Actually, I expect a lot more than that from people. Call it unrealistic if you want, but I expect people to have more common decency than to just look out for "number one" at the expense of everyone else.

Food for thought: All of you out there that are ALPA/Union haters that work for a non-union airline, or wish to work for a non-union airline. I hope you are happy and I sure hope that nothing happens in this industry to have you change employers.

This list is not an exhaustive list…..

Hmmm….Not too many choices at THIS career level to work without some sort of union represenation.

Could it be that JA, BH, and CC have figured out some magic potion or formula in SGU that thousands if not millions of pilots now and in the past have not?

Interesting that worldwide, crossing all language and cultural differences commercial pilots choose time and time again to have union represenation.

If it was so bad to have a union represent us, if this career did not need it, if pilots of all experience levels, backgrounds, nationalities, religious, and cultural differences decided that it wasn’t right - then why do we find this list?

Are you going to let the "bad" experience of your first foray into this industry determine which company you work for? Are you never going to date even though you had a messy divorce? What a stupid question. Wait.........Hmmm......

Are you going to stick to those laurels and never work for a union represented airline/company? If so, that list is small my friends. Will I pass you in an airport terminal someday wearing the dreaded uniform of those on this list?

Why do pilots worldwide, choose to have union represenation?

Gandalf... problem is most pilots... ALPA including.. think that this profession is something to take from... they want want want... well anyone who is smart knows that if you a suck a resource dry without putting anything back... it will no longer proivde....

This concept is lost on the gimme crowd with short term solutions...

"I just wanna fly my trip and go home...leave me alone, I want to go home..."

The defenition of professional is not mine. I only sourced it. Simply put a professional has a code of ethics. Professionals work for the greater good of the public. SKYW pilots work for SKYW management... period. ALPA pilots, with thier safety and engineering dept., work for the betterment of the public...

What a total load of cr@p..... it is no wonder people laugh at ALPA..... You are implying that Skywest pilots aren't professional because they don't belong to ALPA? ALPA pilots work for the "betterment of the public"...... Do you actually believe these Herndon talking points? Keep it up Rez and watch ALPA lose more elections......

That is the point!!

It is what it is... so we can compete or find common ground and work together! That is what the SKYW campaign was all about!!

First you have to stop the competition Rez.... Skywest joining ALPA doesn't stop the competition.... You understand the problem, but you think we can all hold hands in Herndon and sing Cumbaya.... That doesn't stop competition... Only Brand Scope negotiated as part of mainline agreements will stop it...... and they will never exert the negotiating capital that it would take.....

ALPA carriers compete with each other just as much as they do with Skywest..... in fact the real bottom feeders are ALPA carriers.....
