pbs got people off reserve as a byproduct and only a byproduct.
The mou's are nowhere near reason to believe they do a good job on the junior person's behalf.
As an example of their focus, I overheard a union rep explaining in detail how they are attempting to cherry pick the erj contract. Then, I overheard the rep tell a junior guy that the reserve rules were unattainable and unrealistic after the junior guy asked about 4 for 4 ready reserve (instead of 4 for 8) and about not having to call to be released at the end of an assignment. Apparently these two factors alone would bankrupt the company according to the fancy union rep.
I wonder if the union rep is also considering a push to have the union reps only get 4 hours instead of 6 a day so we ensure profitability. Probably not.
