You going? They've been at like every job fair looking for anybody and everybody.

Just finishing up the Qatar app, need 500 more hours for Emirates. I went to the Vegas fair. Always thought a full ATP was needed for Qatar. ATP written and 1000hrs 121 jet is all you need

QATAR MINS:

First officers

• Minimum of 1,000 hours in one of the following categories:
• Multicrew, multiengine jet aircraft
• Command of turbo-prop above 20,000 kg MTOW
• High performance military jets
• Valid ICAO ATPL or frozen ATPL (ATPL Theory Passes/Credits and MCC)
• Valid instrument rating
• Valid Class 1 medical
• Minimum level 4 ICAO English proficiency

Eyewatering numbers:

Emirates A330 Upgrade: 3.5 yrs
Emirates B777 Upgrade: 4 yrs
Qatar Upgrade all fleets: less than 3 yrs
Is it true that at least Emirates does not upgrade based on seniority? That it's possible for you to be there 20 years and never upgrade? If what I've heard is correct, there might have been some people who upgraded in 3.5 years, but that doesn't mean that will necessarily be you. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Emirates calls you in seniority order on each aircraft for upgrade interview. Merit based upgrade. You take an interview that you must pass to upgrade. If you fail you can try again in a month. The system relatively works in seniority upgrade. Now if you go over there and become known like the White Dragon is known at ASA, you'll never get called for an upgrade interview, granted you havent been fired yet.

And when the pilots who proposed the recall of each LEC officer is asked what their facts are for demanding recall they respond that they wont reveal their "playbook" and all will be revealed at the meeting. Im like, Child Please.....

Whenever I see any posting from Little Joe, I'm like, Child Please...

BTW, would you really expect the pilots bringing the motion to reveal their playbook on the recall? Of course not, just as the MEC/LEC isn't.

Lastly Child, After my years on reserve I've looked our fair elected representatives right in the eye dozens of times as I listened to them freely state exactly their perspective on reserves. I can promise you little boy, it's not a bloody rumor.

I'll second this. These guys couldn't give less of a crap about reserve quality of life........until it threatens the prospect of them losing their cushy, non-flying, 6 hour day way of life. The threat of having to work under the sh** work rules they negotiated is enough for their ears to finally perk up.

Child please, I've talked to the same reps and you're full it. No rep is not concerned about reserve or satisfied with the status quo

You're more ticked off about being on reserve so long than the actual reserve rules. Outside of XJT and maybe Air Wisky, ASA has the best reserve rules in the regional industry. Its not that bad, I did it for 3 1/2 yrs. Improvements will be made. But dont expect imprivements that are too costly or too inflexible or so good that people bid reserve

Lastly, I hope you're a 200 FO or Captain, because anyone on self induced reserve on the 700/900 has no room to complain

Yeah, because a rep is going to tell you they don't care about you to your face! *giggle*

Judge by their actions, not their words. I have friends at airlines all over the place, and ASA has by far one of the worst reserve QOL I've ever heard of. I have heard some things from ASA reserve pilots that are simply unbelievable. They basically have no work rules.

Oh please, name somewhere other than a mainline airline or XJT or Air Whisky that has better reserve QOL.

I do judge by their actions and this union has bargined for us a PBS system that is better than Delta and on a murders what CAL has. I have the complete faith in our current MEC/LEC. The people that dont, well, good thing you're in the minority. Have fun embarrassing yourselves at the "recall" meeting

Even if the recall vote fails, almost everyone I speak with wants them all gone.

The last time everyone was fed up (and for substantially less important reasons in my opinion) people were voted out.

Some of those people were instantly appointed to various non-elected positions by our mec, but the point was made.

Either way, suggesting that the "majority" of the pilot group is in support of our mec is asinine.

I agree their performance leaves a lot to be desired. However, who is going to replace them to do a better job and get results. If said people don't produce the desired result, will they too be recalled?

The replacements will consist of The Palm, The Farruuuuz, or Coloma......... so the question remains- who is worse??? Them or the current batch?

Three men who will stand up for the pilot group. Yes, I'd take them over the group who is more concerned with not creating any ripples in the water. They know what's going on, know the company, the union, the pilot group, and the contract.
